Lake county sheriff's police said Mr. Thompson, who was sielf-employed, was operating the tractor on Rt. 45 when the Wheels slipped over the edge of the road and rolled down the enVbankment. The heavy tractor was removed by a passing truck driver to free the trapped victim. Survivors are his widow, Trudy; two daughters, Kim- berly and Wendy; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy J. Thompson of San Marcos, Calif., formerly of McHenry; three brothers, George and Roy Jr., (Buzz) of McHenry and James of Schaumburg, and two sisters, Patricia Preston and Marcia Thompson, both of DesPlaines. A Mass will be offered at 11 o'clock Friday in St. Mary's church, Fremont Center, with burial in Ascension cemetery. Deaths CATHERINE MUNSON Catherine Munson, 66, of 818 Wiltshire drive, McHenry, died Dec. 10 at the McHenry hospital. She was born July 30, 1908, in Chicago, the daughter of John and Ann Mohen Schulze. Mrs. Munson was a summer resident for 45 years and a permanent one the past 25 years. Among her survivors are her husband, Ralph O., whom she married June 23, 1928, in Chicago; two sons, Lloyd M., Volo, and Ralph W. of McHenry; a daughter, Mrs. Phillip (Diane) Armstrong, Pistakee Bay; seven grand­ children; one sister, Mrs. Joseph (Vera) Walsh, Chicago; and a brother, Edward Schulze, Wheaton. Friends may call at the Peter M. Justen and Son funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday. Last rites will be conducted by Rev. Ralph Smith of the First United Methodist church Saturday morning at 11 o'clock. Burial will be in Ridgewood cemetery, DesPlaines. The family requests no flowers or contributions. DOMINICK F. CORELLI, JR. A thirteen-year-old boy, Dominick F. Corelli, Jr., of Rt. 1, Box 416, Round Lake, was killed Tuesday afternoon when the bicycle he was riding was struck by a car on Rt. 12, near his home. He was a student of Wauconda Junior high school. His survivors include his father, Dominick F. Corelli, Sr., of Chicago, his mother, Mrs. Carl (Eloise) Diewold; four brothers, Richard, Robert, Ronald and John and a sister, Carol; his grandparents, Leatrice Corelli and Perry Jones. The body rests at the Kolsak of Wheeling funeral home, 189 S. Milwaukee avenue. Mass will be offered at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at St. Mary's church, Buffalo Grove, with burial in Windridge cemetery, Cary. JOHN J. SAMEC, JR. A former resident of McHenry, John J. Samec, Jr., 59, of 8 Wesley road, Ingleside, died Dec. 8 at St. Therese hospital, Waukegan. He was born April 3, 1915, in Chicago. Mr. Samec was a member of St. Bede's Catholic church, Fox Lake, and an honorable member of the Fox Lake Fire Department and Rescue squad. He had been employed for 17 years by the village of Fox Lake. Among his survivors are a son, Gregory, Ingleside; a daughter, Mrs. Morris (Dixie) Jaranson, Fox Lake; two grandchildren; two brothers, Joseph, Grayslake, and Ber­ nard of Florida; a sister, Mrs. Albina Reed, and a sister-in- law, Beverly Kaminsky, both of Round Lake. He was preceded in death by his wife, Floradine, Feb. 7, 1973, and a brother, Albert. Visitation was held at Hamsher Funeral home, Fox Lake. A funeral Mass was offered Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Bede's church with burial in St. Mary's cemetery, McHenry. IS ON THE WAY....
