Crown 0 2 105 116 By Dick Rabbitt The McHenry High School Warriors of Coach Ken Ludwig will try and boost their North Suburban record to 2 and 1 tonight at Crown. Last year Crown finished in the cellar with a record of 1 and 12, but would you believe it the only win was against our Warriors. To date the Crown record of 0 and 2 in the North Suburban, and you can bet that Coach Ludwig is reminding his squad of last year's game. Coach Ken Slimko of Crown has 5 lettermen returning, and they are led by 6'1" forward Dale Bernhard who is the only Viking starter in double figures at this stage in the season. The Warriors have the potential to go all the way this year. Last Friday night they literally blew the Lake Forest Scouts out of Buckner gym, and as the season progresses the Warriors will be heard from in the North Suburban. Led by junior center Steve Koerber, the Warriors are blessed with talent at all positions. Tom Stark and Marty Zeller the senior forwards can on any given night play with the best of them. Kenne Ludwig and Steve Kaspryzk, are ex cellent ball handlers, play good defense, but are erratic on offense. Once these two guards can score consistently, future opponents of the Warriors can be assured of a rough time on any given night. The next game for the Warriors is on Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m. against Normal Community in the Kankakee Holiday tournament. Frosh "B" Boys Win Two Weekend Games LEADING SCORERS Name Team F.G. Coach Wirtz used all 16 players, as Dan Lindahl, Dave Miller, and Kevin Miller each scored ^ pts. In the Lake Zurich game the young frosh limited their op ponents to just two baskets, both of them coming in the last period. The players really gave it an all out effort as they raised their record for the season to 3 and 2. Dan Allison led the team with 8 pts., Steve Cable had 7, and Tim Beyers scored 6 pts. Warriors win, they will play the next day at 5:30 p.m. but if they lose they will again play at 10:30 the following morning. From a personal standpoint as well as a fan standpoint, let us hope that the Warriors win the first game. In Time One guy always gives his wife her Christmas present on the 15th. Greeting Santa, at left, upon his arrival are Harmony's President Ed Kaska and V.P. Dale Pitts. (STAFF PHOTO-WAYNE GAYLORD) Sunday December 15th was the big day for the Big Christmas party for Harmony Snowmobilers and their families. Of course the big attraction of the day is when Santa arrives via snow, BUT there was no snow SOOOO Santa flew into the Harmony Christmas Party held at Pink Harrisons on the Bay, by Helicopter. This was a sight to see. Since there was no snow Good old Saint Nick turned very modern with his arrival, including an avocado pack on his back. There was lots of well wishing and Happy Holiday greetings exchanged as over one hundred members and members of their families unrtstmas SPECIALS Here is your Chrstmas Bonus attended the festivities. Santa was modern only in his arrival, as to old tradition and custom he presented all of the children present with gifts with his blessings. Then of course everyone enjoyed the food that was brought and served by members. Many members took ad vantage ot the opportunity to take a ride in a helicopter piloted by Tim Salaiks.
