Mr. Foran's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Foran of Twin Lakes, Wis., formerly of McHenry. The newlyweds are making their home in Palos Hills, 111. Judy Frederick Named To Head Newcomers Club The January meeting of the Town & Country Newcomers club was held the fourteenth. The following four people were installed as the club's officers for 1975. Judy Frederick, president; Judy Zid, vice- president; Christine Lawson, secretary-treasurer, and Roberta Becker, prospective membership chairman. It was announced that the meetings will begin at 7:30 in the future. Mrs. James Payton of Woodstock and Barbara Johnson, of McHenry talked to the club on the Women's auxiliary of the Family Service and Mental Health Center for McHenry County. A couple's dinner is to be held Feb. 1 at the Branded Steak House. A children's Easter Egg hunt is being planned March 22, as well as fund raising ac­ tivities for the year. The next meeting will be held Tuesday, Feb. 11, at 7:30 p.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran church. People in­ terested in knowing more about the club should call Mrs. John Becker. The wedding was sponsored by the McHenry County Friends Meeting (Quakers). According to custom of Friends, all of the guests signed the marriage certificate. A delicious meal, prepared by the bridal couple and the Meeting Community, was served. The bride's sisters, Wilma, Katie and Anna, and brother, George, were home for the occasion. Her fiance's relatives attended, including his parents, the Fred Harmons, who came from New York state; also his brother, John, and wife, Gail, with son and daughter, Jaime and Eve, from Massachusetts, and his sister, Paula, with her husband, Gary Gallun, and son, Erick, from Pennsylvania. Other guests came from Arizona, Massachusetts and Wisconsin. The new Mrs. Harmon is an elementary school teacher on the Navajo reservation at Ganado, Ariz. Chicago will be available, and Mrs. Giel will be taking reservations at the next meeting. President Kenneth Bowsher reported that the first class of Senior Citizens to attend the "Rules of the Road" review course have completed their sessions and are now ready to take their written tests when the time comes for them to renew their drivers' licenses. Anyone who must take a test in the near future should contact Kenneth Bowsher at 2600 W. Emerald court, to register. This review course will help persons to have confidence when taking their written tests at the license bureau. Officers-elect are requested to be at the meeting hall early Monday evening, Jan. 27 - as the photographer is scheduled to be there to take pictures at 7,15 p.m. promptly. The program was very beautiful and interesting pictures of Yvonne and Bill Wilson's recent trip to the "Great Tetons" and "Yellowstone" - so ably narrated by Mr. Wilson. The Wilsons' program is always a most enjoyable one.
