Cut a thin slice from each end and make an incision in their sides. Makes for faster baking. Sandwich Tips Sandwiches made with mayon naise don't freeze well. Mustard or catsup is a better condiment for freezing. Try a thin cheese spread instead of butter. PATWIRTZ Pat is the freshmen assistant basketball coach at McHenry high. Coach .Gary,, Collins' sophomore cagers split a pair of games over the weekend, bowing to Dundee on Friday nght 49 to 36, and defeating Barrington at home on Saturday night 71 to 57. The young Warriors grabbed a 13 to 11 first quarter lead at Dundee Friday night, thenj^the roof caved in, as the young Cards seemed to do everything right from that point on to the finish. The sophs hit a three quarter streak where poor passing, poor shooting and poor defense proved to be the i r downfal l , ns the young Cards ran off with a 49 to 36 victory. Brian Miller's 13 points lead the sophs On Saturday night it was a complete turnaround for the young lads of Coach Collins. Trailing 18 to 17 at the end of the initial period, they spurted off to a 38 to 30 halftime lead. The teams played fairly even during the third quarter, but in th£ fourth quarter the locals put twenty points on the board to win going away 71 to 57. Hustle, defense and good shooting was the main factor in the win, not evident the night before. Randy Schiller with 25 points led all scorers.
