SPECIAL-ELECTION Community College District No. 528 Counties of McHenry, Kane,- Lake and Boone and State of Illinois (McHenry County College) NOTICE is hereby given that on the 8th day of March, 1975 a special election will be held in and for Community College District No. 528, Counties of McHenry, Kane, Lake and Boone and State of Illinois, for * the purpose of submitting to the voters of said Community College District the following proposition: 1. PROPOSITION TO IN­ CREASE MAXIMUM AN­ NUAL TAX RATE FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES Shall the maximum annual tax rate for educational purposes of Community College District No. 528, Counties of McHenry, Kane, Lake, and Boone and State of Illinois, be increased and established at .12 per cent on the full, fair cash value of taxable property as equalized or assessed by the Department of Local Government Affairs, instead of .07 per cent, the maximum rate otherwise applicable to the next taxes to be extended for said purpose? (a) The approximate amount of educational taxes extendible under the maximum rate now in force in said Community College District is $408,300. (b) The approximate amount of educational taxes extendible under the proposed rate is the sum of $699,600. That for the purpose of said election said Community College District has been PAGE 3 - PLAINDEALER-FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 1975 divided into 14 voting precincts and the boundaries of said voting precincts and the polling places within each voting precinct are as follows: PRECINCT NO. 1 Precinct No. 1 shall consist of all that territory within s Algonquin Township, Nunda Township, Grafton Township, and Dorr Township within the boundaries of Crystal Lake Community High School District No. 155 lying westerly of the center line of the Public Highway now known as High­ way 31. Polling Place: The polling Elace for Precinct No. 1 is ereby designated as and located at Foyer of Field House \ located on Walkup Avenue of Crystal Lake Community High School, 45 West Franklin Street, Crystal Lake, Illinois. PRECINCT NO. 2 Precinct No. 2 shall consist of all the territory in Crystal Lake Community High School District No. 155 and in Wauconda Community Unit School District No. 118 located in Algonquin and Nunda Townships in the County of McHenry and including that part of Sections 4, 9, 10 and 16 West of the Fox River in Township 43 North of Range 9 East of the Third Principal Meridian, situated in the Township of Cuba, County of Lake. All of the described territory in Precinct No. 2 lies easterly of public highway now known as Highway No. 31, except that part of Crystal Lake Community High School District No. 155 lying within the rate limits of the Village ox River Grove. hereby designated as and located at Maplewood Grade School, 422 West Krenz Avenue, Cary, Illinois. Among the sparkling en­ tertainment highlights there will be Can-Can girls, a Barber Shop quartet, and old time sing- along, a play directed by Bud Lytle, a western skit, an auc­ tion and many, many surprises. A variety ol food and refresh­ ments will include free snacks which will be distributed by "pretzel girls".
