WRESTLER Ludwig are coming down the home stretch in the North Suburban race Tonight it will be the Crystal Lake "Tigers " who will invade the West Campus gym The schedule shows that all teams will play within their own division the remainder of the season. This schedule should favor the Warriors, as the West Division is somewhat weaker of the two. if you could call any division in the' North Suburban weak. With Zion hosting the always dangerous Wildcats of Libertyville. and still having to play North Chicago and Lake Forest, the Warriors are looking for some help along the line It looks as if the con ference race could go down to the final game Crystal Lake is having a so-so year However, the Warriors can never take the Tigers lightly In the past the Tigers have always proved troublesome to our Warriors The Tigers are led by Steve Zoellick and Sam Mosolino at the present time Jim Froelich fine Tiger guard is laid up with injuries, but he may get off his crutches this week and be able to play against the Warriors On the other hand the Warriors are playing great ball At times it mav look as if STEVE LANE Steve won his last 2 matches to increase his season record to 17-4. Steve is also leading the team intake-downs with 31. SWIMMER ERY GALL Erv captured 1st place in the 100 yard free style against Rockford Jefferson recently. Must be they haven't heard of con ditions Our Grandma used to think there was no chicken like the Plymouth Rock You hardly see those kind no more! Grandma wanted no part of those white leghorns. Too small to put on the table Besides - those leghorn eggs were white and couldn't possibly sbe as good as Plymouth Rock brown eggs. As a boy. we raised bantams and their eggs were almost as large as the ones they sell for medium size today. Things aren't like they used to be and sometimes we think they never were. , • C&P ~ ' Walt Freund goes waV back in his memories of McHenry baseball players. They have won 15 games this season and surely deserve more support than they are getting So come all you fans, prove you are a sports minded com munity. support your high school team On Saturday night, the Warriors travel to Woodstock for a game with an old rival the "Blue Streaks"> Coach Ed Brucker of the Streaks is in the rebuilding process The Streaks haven't won as many games as they would like, but on the other hand they are a young ball club, and are looking to the future. Having been pushed out of the North Suburban, you can bet they would like nothing better than to knock off our Warriors. It should be a good game. Woodstock vs McHenry is always a good ball game, and you can throw out the records of both clubs Both squads generally arise to the occasion Should be two good ball games this weekend. By Dick Rabbitt The "Rassling Warriors" of coach Marty Sobzcak were defeated at North Chicago last Friday night by a score of 28 to 17 The sophomores won their match 39 to 24. and the J.V.'s won their match 38 to 35.
