Lisa Newport, Reporter Federal Crop Insurance To County Farmers The Federal Crop Insurance • corporation (USDA) is making ' its "All-Risk" crop protection" available to Boone and ' McHenry county farmers for the 1975 crop year according to - District Sales Supervisor Willard Davey. This "self- help" farm program allows farmers to protect themselves against crop damage through payment of a small annual premium. More Corn Belt farmers are now insuring their crops under this USDA program than at any time since the program began in 1938. For the first time, Boone and McHenry county farmers can protect their corn and soybean investment expenses against all natural unavoidable hazards, including adverse weather, insects and disease. During March and April, according to Davey, FClC fieldmen will be in the countteB to explain the program assist farmers in protecting their crops. For more information regarding this program, far mers are urged to contact the FCIC office at 727 E. Superior street, Ottawa, 111., 61350. iTis "Why does your husband stick out his hand while driving"" "The worm is gettin' ready to turn."
