PAGE 20 - PLAINDEALER-WEDNESDAY, MARCH 12, 1975 Holiday Hills 385-5641 Assessed Value Of Homes Too High In Subdivision Homeowners were asked to sign a petition stating that the assessed value for our homes were too high. Some signed the petition in hopes that the county would do something to lower the taxes, while others hesitated to sign the petition because they didn't want higher taxes and that it might raise their assessed value. If you feel as a homeowner that the assessed value of your home is not one-third of the market value, then it could be that you are paying more in assessment taxes than need be. The county says we must file a "Protesting Form", for filing of individual assessments value taxes, no later than Monday, March 17, at the county court house in the tax assessor's office. These forms also may be obtained by contacting Bill Campbell at 2410 Driftwood as he has some on hand and will save you one trip to Woodstock. NEIGHBORS ON THE MOVE We are sorry to hear that the John Babicz < family have moved to Augusta, Ga. They resided at 2903 S. Tower Drive. John decided to make the Army a career and reenlisted in January. Allison and Barbara left on March first to join him. We wish them well and know that they will have left many friends. I am late in extending a friendly welcome to several new families who have moved into our subdivision. - The welcome goes to the Holtz family. The Holtzes, Rosemary, William, Debbie, and Laurie, left the safe con fines of beautiful downtown Skokie, to venture out into the boonies. They found them selves living at 1312 Sunset in Holiday Hills. Rosemary is a homemaker, loves gardening, knitting and being active, lost no time in volunteering her services at Debbie's kin dergarten in the learning center. William is a glasser. He is also a great sports buff (all kinds) but leans a little more towards hockey. He also enjoys a snappy game of golf. We welcome you to our little corner of the world. The Welcome mat is out to John and Glenna Kessler and their daughter, Karen. The Kesslers moved from Chicago to 1508 Evergreen. Glenna enjoys gardening (and by the results they had last year they have that certain touch), baking, and being a homemaker. She enjoys boating when the weather is nice, and bowling. John's favorite pastimes are working on tv's and radios, but as sports he takes to the outdoors. Boating, fishing, and swim ming plus ice skating and bowling. Also they are waiting a new addition to the Kessler home very soon. We wish them a very warm hello! BELATED BIRTHDAY GREETINGS Sorry I missed your birthday.
