The Paul Walkingtons and Clarence Adams, Jr., family spent Easter with the Jay Walkingtons in Addison. The Sig Jacobsens en­ tertained John and Ila Hogan with granddaughters, Laura and Nancy Parsley, and Mike and Susie Hogan with sons, Mike Jr., and Christopher. Sunday evening, some of the family gathered at the John Hogans. Those present were Charlotte and Dick Thompson and children, Jerry and Ruth Ann Hogan with children, Harry and Georgia Hogan and family, Mike and Susie Hogan and sons. Lenny and Laura Ackerman with four year old Lisa spent Easter at his parents, Leonard and Phyllis Ackerman. The Chuck Ackerman family was also present. Diane and Gary Linstad of Appleton spent the weekend with her parents, the Art Christophers. On Sunday they were, joined by Patty and Richard Harrison to celebrate1 Diane's birthday which fell on Easter this year. Weekend visitors at the Brennan-Hepburn home were Mr. and Mrs. Russell Soddy of Kenosha. John Blackman of Goodland, Fla., also stopped by for a visit. Dick and Phyllis Zell with son, David, travelled to Waukegan Sunday afternoon to visit Phyllis' little two-year old grandson, Christopher Davis, and his parents. It was a belated birthday visit for Christopher. The Zells also visited some of Dick's family while there. Frank and Rita Cerny served an Easter .brunch for their families. About twenty-five relatives gathered for a most enjoyable day and a lot of visiting. . ' BIRTHDAY PARTY Little Rusty Cerny, son of the Frank Cernys, had an early birthday celebration on Palm Sunday with several of his relatives, including grand­ parents, aunts and uncles present for the occasion. Rusty was three years old April 2. Mother Rita outdid herself with an "airplane" cake to hold the candles. ABOUT TOWN Recent visitors at the Brennan-Hepburn home were Kenny Brennan of Oak Lawn and Mr. and Mrs. Milton Madison of Kenosha. Visiting the Clayton Bruces this past week were his brother and family, Harold and Anita Bruce, and children, Sherlyn and Stanley, of Opdyke, 111. They also attended the Jensen funeral while here. Cindy and Russ McPherson and LeRoy and Lois McPherson, all of Downers Grove, spent Friday and Saturday at the Bruces. A1 and Fern Mecham have returned to their home in Wonder Lake after spending some time in Florida. The Florida sun seems to have agreed very well with both of them - we're glad to have them back. SYMPATHY Our deepest sympathy to the family of Patrick Moan of Woodstock. He was a nephew of Althea Walkington of our town. HELP FOR BURNED OUT FAMILIES The Victor Hopp family and Betty Goldsmith family were left homeless when their apartments burned on Monday of last week. The third apart­ ment was occupied by Mike Lorch and Richard Orton. There has been a financial fund started for the burned out families at the First National Bank in McHenry, so anyone wishing to contribute to this fund may do so by sending their donation to the Ringwood Emergency Fire Fund, First National Bank of McHenry, 3510 W. Elm St., McHenry, 111., attention: Richard Fowles. Household items are the greatest need of the Goldsmith family at this time and if you have any of these items call 385- 8009 for further information, family of six children and mother need linens and bed­ ding; For the Hopp family please call 385-1379 for information on what is needed for this family of four boys, mother and father.
