Schaefer and Donald F. Reinboldt left for a honeymoon trip to San Fran­ cisco and Hawaii following their wedding Saturday, April 5, at St. Thomas Catholic church. Crystal Lake. The Rev. Michael Tierney officiated at the 3 o'clock Mass in a church decorated with assorted spring flowers of yellow and turquoise. Commentator for the Mass was Donald Bauer of McHenry and lector was Gene Burnett of Macomb, both friends of the groom. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo J. Schaefer of 3517 N. Fairview avenue, and the groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Vernon J. Reinboldt of 3002 W. Mary lane, all of McHenry. Special music was presented at the ceremony by organist Jean Neuman of McHenry and soloists Carolyn Ritthaler of McHenry and John Marco of Woodstock. Musical selections included, "Sunrise, Sunset", "My Sweet Lady", "Somewhere", "If We Only Have Love", "Let It Be Me""The Lord's Prayer" and "Ave Maria". Her veil which was borrowed from her sister, Nancy, for sentiment, was a three-tier fingertip, nylon illusion veil attached to a headpiece trimmed with Venice lace. She carried a bouquet of white roses, yellow and white carnations and baby's breath accented with yellow and white streamers. Patricia Schaefer of McHenry attended her sister as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mary Lou Reinboldt of McHenry, the groom's sister, Mary Lou Grotewold of Ames, Iowa, a friend of the bride, Nancy Tucker of Fox River Grove, Linda Jorgensen of Cary and Jan Schaefer of Crystal Lake, all sisters of the bride. The attendants wore floor length gowns of dotted Swiss trimmed with ribbon and white lace. The gowns were fashioned with high collars, capelet sleeves and ruffled hemlines. The maid of honor chose a turquoise gown and the bridesmaids wore yellow. Bands of fresh daisies, car­ nations and baby's breath to match their gowns were worn in the attendants' hair. They carried bouquets of yellow carnations, turquoise daisies and baby's breath. Each wore a gold charm bracelet, a gift of the bride. Larry Cristy of Jackson­ ville served his friend as best man. Groomsmen were Alvin Reinboldt of McHenry and John Reinboldt of Peoria, brothers of the groom. Jack Tucker of Fox River Grove, the bride's brother-in- law, Michael Dobrin of Springfield, a friend of the groom,and Tom Latek of Hoffman Estates, another friend. Richard Schaefer of McHenry and Philip Jorgensen of Cary, brother and brother-in- law of the bride, respectively, handled ushering duties. Initial goals and plans for the league include a broad based membership of artists from the northern Illinois-southern Wisconsin area, regular art shows, a lecture series open to the artists and the general public, a member newsletter, a talent pool and other group derived benefits and activities. By cultivating new markets and by providing a stimulating atmosphere of ideas and in­ formation, the league will benefit individual artists of the area. By increasing awareness of, and access to area artists, ' their works and talents, the, league will also benefit the general public. The long range hope of the league is to obtain housing for classrooms, studios, a gallery, an art library, darkrooms, an auditorium, storage space and other facilities that will serve the needs of the artists and the public. Founding members and officers of the league are Sally Miller, president; Jayne Kalk, vice-president; Lori Wilhelm, secretary; Karen Pepping, treasurer; Robert Tucker, Weg Thomas, John and Carolyn Burr, all of McHenry; John Greene and William Pribble of Crystal Lake; Ed Ham- merstein of Harvard and David Trumble of Richmond. Membership in the league is available to anyone active or interested in the visual arts- painters, illustrators, designers, sculptors, weavers, ceramiscists, metalworkers, vvoodcarvers, photographers, etc. Several types of mem­ berships are offered. Membership applications may be obtained from Lori Wilhelm,. 3412 West Fairway drive, McHenry, or at the monthly lectures. Membership benefits include free entry to the lectures, quarterly newsletter, reduced rates at league-sponsored art shows, access to the member talent pool, field trips, annual membership roster, annual listing of area art shows and other benefits as they become available. The first of the lecture series will be held Friday evening, April 18, at 8 p.m. in the cafeteria of McHenry high school West campus. Sculptor John Greene of Crystal Lake will make the presentation. The second lecture will be Fridav, May 9, at 8 p.m. at the McHeVy high school West campus. Robert Tucker, watercolorist of McHenry will be the speaker. The public is invited to the lectures and area artists, in particular, are encouraged to attend and to join with their fellow artists in fosiering a greater, more rewarding role for the arts in the lives of the residents of northern Illinois- southern Wisconsin. length turquoise dress and a cymbidium orchid corsage. The bride's mother made and decorated the wedding cake. Upon their return from a honeymoon trip, the couple will make their- home at 2087 Stonelake road, Woodstock. The bride and groom are both 1969 graduates of MCHS. She is employed at Cary State bank. The groom graduated from Western Illinois university in 1973 and works at Crystal Pines Nursing home, Crystal Lake. Honored grandparents in attendance at the wedding were Mrs. John Fuchs of Columbus, Neb., Mrs. Katherine Brown of McHenry and Mr. and Mrs. Peter M. Schaefer, also of McHenry. Prior to the wedding, bridesmaids hosted a miscellanous shower for the bride at Johnsburg Community club. Fifty guests were present. St. Clara Court Plans Dinner; Installation St. Clara Court, No. 659, National Catholic Society of Foresters, will hold an in­ stallation dinner at the Far­ mers Market April 24 at 6 p.m. Reservations should be made to Mrs. Richard (Loretta) Freund or Mrs. Leonard (Leoda) Freund. Actors Well Known In McHenry Star In Play "Barefoot in the Park," the smash Neil Simon comedy which was the darling of Braodway for many years, comes to McHenry county this weekend. The Theatre com­ pany, a Woodstock based c o m m u n i t y t h e a t r e organization, will present "Barefoot in the Park" Friday and Saturday evenings, April 11 and 12, at the Woodstock Opera House. Curtain time is 8:30 p.m. "Barefoot in the Park" is the story about two newlyweds, Paul and Corrie Bratter. Paul is a very straight-laced young lawyer just out of law school. Corrie is a scatterbrained kook who is the exact opposite of Paul. Frank and Sharon Harrison, a husband and wife team, well known in McHenry, will play the newlyweds. He is well known to the McHenry area because of the talent he displayed in several shows at St. Mary's and at McHenry high school. His major credits include major roles in "Forty Carats" and "Annie Get Your Gun." The show is being directed by Nancy Kole of Hebron. Nancy is no stranger to the Opera House, having appeared in many roles on stage over the years. Her best known roles were the lead in "Forty Carats" and Golda in "Fiddler on the Roof." Nancy has directed and acted in several hundred theatrical productions throughout the entire Chicago metropolitan area. "Barefoot in the Park" is the first show she has directed in this area. Several options will be available to the theatre-going public in order to make their evening out something special. Special dinner-theatre arrangements have been made. There is no reserve seating, so it is first come, first served.
