FIRST COMMUNION Nine year old Denise Pietravich, and her 8 year old brother, Paul, received their first Holy Communion Sunday, May 4, at St. Patrick's church, in McHenry. To commemorate the occasion, a gathering of family and friends was held at the home of the children's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Kalash. Denise and Paul, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. Bill Anderson, enjoyed their day, as did all their guests. SPRING FLING The Beach Gals considered the dance they held, May 3, to be a huge success, because those who attended had a good time, and most stayed till the very end. The village hall, transformed from a gym, into a dance hall, was tastefully decorated in keeping with the "Spring" theme. All types of music were played, to suit everyone's taste, but the most popular still seemed to be the modern fast dances. Many McCullom Lake residents were at the dance, also persons from nearby communities, and some from as far away as Chicago. The Beach Gals are glad everyone came, and want to invite them to next year's dance.
