Your Choice realize that seniors are finding it more difficult to get around, that they feel excluded from our society. They have responded with a series of tax relief programs designed to stretch fixed incomes a little further by taking less in taxes, and they have established several programs for seniors which provide important services. "Many of the people who would benefit from these programs, however, are unaware of their existence. Those who try to take ad vantage of tax-relief benefits and transportation discounts are frequently confused by the maze of red tape surrounding them. "Those of us working at the assistance center have made a tremendous effort to become familiar with these programs so we can help others take advantage of them. We can help with application forms, answer questions concerning Social Security and Medicare, contact Area Agencies on Aging to provide seniors with more social contact and more interaction with others. "But our first hurdle is let ting people know we're here. This newsletter will aid seniors in learning about the programs and learning about us." Mrs. Jenner added that the newsletter will be mailed to senior citizens throughout the area during the next few weeks. Anyone who would especially 'like to receive one should contact the Senior Citizen Assistance center at 56 N. Williams, Crystal Lake 60014, phone (815 ) 459-8185. Three Spinning Fairies Mrs. Jamieson, teacher, center, lends support to Ardis, Robin Irwin; the prince, MichaelMaksymlak; and the attendant (center back) Donna Hopp, in production of "The Three Spinning Fairies". Mrs. Jamieson's Language Arts classes (second and fourth levels) presented "The Three Spinning Fairies". The fourth level children had presented the play last year and were able assistance in its production this year. They were also in the last act as guests at the reception of the wedding of Ardis and the Prjnce. The children were thrilled to be able to use a working spinning wheel, which was handcrafted by Fred Bienapfl. This was an im portant prop as the play evolved around Ardis' ability - or inability - to spin flax. Four of the fourth level boys, Mark Petersen, Mark Thomp son, Gary Freund, and Todd Rehberg, were prop boys. The characters in the play, all second level children, were Ardis, Robin Irwin; step* mother, Carol Snyder; queen*., Michele Young; king, Robbie Strack; prince, Michael Maksymiak; Broadfoot, Cindy K i n s a l a ; T h i c k t h u m b , Maureen Kujawa; Greatlip, Donna Jutaut; narrator, Lisa Vavrik; announcer, Marie Stumpf. 1967.
