PAGE 4 - PLAINDEALER-FRIDAY. JUNE 27, 1975 McHenry Shores Sandra Mover 385-8646 Village Pres Ident Makes Several Appointments At the Board of Trustees meeting held on June 18, Present T.illegard made the following appointments to the Zoning Board of appeals; Victor Lawson, Ardith Reed, Earl Wick, Ed Valek and Fred Scott. The appointment of two p a t r o l m e n , D o u g l a s Rasmussen and Bob Luerssen, was also submitted. These appointments were approved unanimously by the board. Two more persons are under investigation for the police department. The planned five man police force should be a reality soon. A proposed ordinance con trolling placement of swim ming pools on lots was sub mitted. This does not include wading pools. This ordinance will also require a yard with a pool to be fenced. This will be brought up for a discussion and vote at the next meeting, the next meeting will be held July 2 at 7:30 at the village hall. The amendment to the building code ordinance establishing new fees .for building permits was passed and is printed in the legal notices elsewhere in this paper. A resolution was passed that elected village officials at tending the monthly McHehry County Mayor's meeting will be reimbursed for the fee charged. A resolution was also passed allocating the sixth period of revenue sharing funds for acquisition of a village hall. NEWS BITS There have not been enough persons sign up for the Red Cross first aid course to be given during the daytime to hold one this summer, for those who had signed up for an evening course it has been decided to hold the evening course this fall so there will be no conflict with vacations and other summer activities. If you are interested in this course and have not submitted your name please contact the village hall. The new reporter for this column will be Inge Aide. She will begin writing the column next week. Her phone number is 344-1984. Call her with any news you would like to see in the paper. I have enjoyed so much being your reporter and our family will miss all the wonderful friends and neighbors we have here. Being an "Air Force Brat" I have moved all over most of my life. This is the longest I have ever lived anywhere and have come to feel this is home. I hope to return here in years to come and find that this community has developed the spirit of working together to accomplish the goal of making this the best area in McHenry County to live. I wish the best for all of you. SHORELINE WAVES The deadline for reserving tickets for the ball game trip is July 1. At this time we do not have enough to take one bus. This is really a bargain. You will see the White Sox play the Brewers on July 13, maybe see Hank Aaron hit a homerun. An air-coriditioned bus will take you to the park (no worries about traffic or parking), you'll set in a reserved seat and munch on a fried chicken box lunch.
