Thirty-eight Cadette and Senior Girl Scouts from the Sybaquay council are traveling to National Center West at Ten Sleep, Wyoming, as part of the Wyoming Trek. National Center West is a camp site owned and operated by Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. and is visited by Girl Scouts from all parts of the country during the summer months. The girls left Elgin July 25. Their destination was Camp Pokonokah Hills at New Auburn, Wis. Here they spent several days preparing. They planned sight seeing itineraries and menus, shopped for sup­ plies, practiced tent pitching and packed. Picturesque and historic sights were high on the list of things to see enroute. Included in these are Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Monument, Fort Laramie, Chimney Rock National Monument and Wind Cave. At National Center West, the Sybaquay girls joined Girl Scouts from other parts of the country in such activities as horseback riding, back packing, archeological digs and discussions about ecology. Sybaquay council serves girls in Lake, Kane, Cook, McHenry, DeKalb, DuPage and LaSalle counties. Political American Party Will Present Constitution A special meeting of the American Party of McHenry county starting at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, at the Huntley American Legion has been called by Robert R. Holbrook, McHenry county chairman. The main topic on the agenda is the presentation for adoption of the Constitution and by-laws for the McHenry County American party. An invitation is extended to all citizens of McHenry and neighboring counties to par­ ticipate in this meeting. The American party presently is on the ballot in over 60 percent of the states and intends to be on the ballot in all fifty states in 1976. The American party of Illinois intends to have can­ didates for all national offices, all state offices, and as many local offices as possible in 1976. When asked how he liked living in a palace, Roosevelt replied. "I don't like them. You can't ring a bell and complain about your room." Deaths CARL F. GUSTAFSON Carl F. Gustafson, 67, 1619 N. North avenue, was dead on arrival at McHenry hospital, Aug. 167" Mr. Gustafson was born Sept. 9, 1909, in Evanston and had been employed as a bus driver. Survivors include his wife, Elsie, nee Nielsen; two sons, Donald and Fred, Chicago; two grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Gerda Miskelly, Evantson. All services were private. Arrangements were made by George R. Justen and Son funeral home. MARIE TILL Marie Till, 89, Main street, Spring Grove, died Sunday evening, Aug. 10, at St. Joseph's home in Freeport. She was born June 14, 1886, in Hungary. Mrs. Till was a member of St. ^Peter's church, Spring Grove, £and the Christian Mothers club. She is survived by a sister, Emilia Seehorsh, of Roumania. Her husband, Michael Till, preceded her in death March 9, 1955, and a son, Donald, in 1942. Visitation was scheduled for Tuesday at the Ehorn-Adams funeral home in Richmond. A funeral Mass will be offered Wednesday $t 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter's, Spring Grove, with burial in church cemetery. JOHN G. AHRENS John G. Ahrens, 74, 4612 W. Sussex drive, McHenry, died Aug. 9 at McHenry hospital. He was born March 12, 1901, in Beaver Falls, Minn._ Mr. Ahrens had been a resident of Whispering Oaks for eight years and was a retired employee of Illinois Bell Telephone company. His survivors include his wife, Lucile, one daughter, Mrs. Edwin (Dorothy) Per- sson, Wheeling; two grand­ children; a brother, Theodore Ahrens, Bryant, S.D. Visitation was scheduled for Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m. at the Donnellen-Fitzgerald-Franklin funeral home in Skokie: Ser­ vices will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. from the funeral chapel with interment Memorial Park cemetery, Evanston.
