- On March 13th 2020 I gave birth to my second child, Samantha, before restrictions were in place. I was lucky, my husband was able to be there with me. We didn't have any visitors in the hospital.
My brother works as a behavioral therapist for individuals with autism and one of his clients had tested positive for covid-19. It wasn't until four weeks had passed with no symptoms that we felt it was safe for him to meet and hold his niece. I don't know if it was the right thing to do. My parents are both over 65 and at risk. My best friend had a heart condition and is at risk. We limit contact but my parents still see their grandkids and my friend sat on my couch to talk once when we couldn't take it anymore.
For some of us decisions like this have become moral ones, with the consequences being life threatening. - Date of Publication
