An Elmhurst college graduate, Reidel's most recent post was director of shareholder ser­ vices. Big Hollow Schools To Start August 26 Uig Hollow grade school students will resume classes Tuesday. Aug. 26. Middle School students will attend from 8:30 to 10 a.m. and elementary school students will attend from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thes^e ninety-minute sessions will be for classification and enrollment purposes. During this first abbreviated day. regular school buses will transport students to and from school. Routes will be the same as those used last vear. American Viewpoints Kindergarten classes will begin Wednesday, Aug. 27. Book rental fees have been set at a rate of $10 for all students in grades K through 5 and $12 for students in grades 6 through 8. The school requests that no book rental fees or lunch money be sent on the first day. Lunch money may be paid Wednesday. Aug. 27. Elementary school students may bring their book fees Sept. 17. and Middle school students may pay their book fees Sept. 18. Regular hours for the Middle school will b~<S from 8:30 a.m. to 2:50 p.m. Regular hours for the elementary school will be from 9 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. Parents who have moved into the district during the summer are requested to contact the school immediately in order to register their children. American Society of Artists, a .national membership organization, will present the second annual Brentwood Commons Art and Craft festival Saturday, Aug. 23, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday. Aug. 24, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Brentwood Commons Shopping center is located at York and Grand, four blocks south of Irving Park and four blocks north of 1-90 in Bensenville. Among the exhibitors will be John A. Burr. 1407 W. Channel Beach avenue, McHenry, who will exhibit paintings. Artists and craftspeople from six states will exhibit a fascinating variety of work. There will be wheel-thrown and hand-thrown pottery, sculp­ ture, photography, wood carvings, leather , craft and leather art, macrame. hand- wrought jewelry and oil, acrylic and watercolor pain­ tings A candlt^ carver will create hand-carved candles at the festival; one may watch a craftsman as he works at .his craft of engraving glass or have your portrait sketched by a portrait artist. This is only a small sample of the marvelous variety of exhibit which will be attended by the artists and craftspeople who created the work.
