Stonehocker told deputies he was west-bound on Lincoln when an animal appeared in the roadway. In trying to avoid hitting the animal, he lost control of his truck and hit the tree. Clearview, McHenry, was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident following a rear-end collision at the intersection of Routes 14 and 31 near Crystal Lake, last Wednesday night. Shirley A. Halverson of 3002 W. Miller road, McHenry, was stopped at the intersection when her car was hit from behind by Kozicki's auto. A two-car accident Friday morning on Route 14, just south of the Route 31 exit ramp east of Crystal Lake, resulted in a ticket being issued to George L. Bachner of Route 2, Barrington. He was charged with failure to yield. According to county police, Bertha W. Hejkal of 5116 Fountain lane, McHenry; was east-bound on Route 14. As she turned into a parking lot, her car was hit in the side by the Bachner auto. Bachner said he had just entered the highway when the other car made a right turn in front of him and he was unable to avoid impact. Russell Ford of 1622 N. Beach, McHenry, lost control of his auto while driving at 6507 W. McCullom Lake road Saturday evening and hit a telephone pole, demolishing his car. Aicher, 84, McHenry, died Nov. 15 at McHenry hospital. She was born Oct. 16, 1891, in McHenry, the daughter of John and Helen Blake Heimer. Mrs. Aicher was a charter member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Court Joyce Kilmer, No. 573, and belonged to the Christian Mothers of St. Mary's. A brother, Leo C. Heimer, is her only immediate survivor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. F.J. Aicher, in 1939, three sisters, Lillian Hoffman, Katherine Steilen, Mayme Bickler and two brothers, William M. and George Heimer. Visitation was scheduled for Monday and Tuesday at the George R. Justen and Son funeral home. A funeral Mass will be offered Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at St. Mary's Catholic church with burial in the church cemetery. JOHN A. DEMKE John A. Demke, 73, 4512 Sussex drive, Whispering Oaks, died Nov. 13 at McHenry hospital. He was born April 20, 1902, in Onaway,- Mich. Mr. Demke was a member of the First United Methodist church and the McHenry Senior Citizens. Survivors include his wife, Anna, nee Babka, whom he married July 28, 1928 in Chicago; a daughter, Alice Larimer, the wife of Rev. Guilford Larimer of Park Forest; three grandchildren; one brother, Elmer, St. Louis, Mich. Visitation was held Sunday at the George R. Justen and Son funeral home where last rites were conducted Monday at 2 p.m. with burial in Woodland cemetery. RAY HORENBERGER, SR. Ray Horenberger, Sr., 69, died Thursday, Nov. 13, in his Rt. 1, Baraboo, Wis., home following a long illness. Prior to moving to Baraboo four years ago, the family farmed south of McHenry for thirty-four years. Mr. Horenberger is survived by his wife, Hattie (Pilgard); one son, Ray, Jr., of Baraboo; two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Ott of Deerfield and Mrs. Ruth Dye of San Jose, Calif.; and five grandchildren. •$, The Rev. MICHAEL McHALE Michael Joseph McHale, 76, 5406 W. Cleveland drive, West Shore Beach, died Nov. 13 at McHenry hospital. He was born in Chicago April 27, 1899, the son of Michael and Mary McHale. A retired maintenance man for the Wood street police station, Chicago, he had lived here for the past twelve years. Survivors include his wife, Jeanette, nee Hurley; a son, Joseph L., Woodstock; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Betty Jane) Reginato, Bensenville; eleven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mayme Cordon and Mrs. Helen Reynolds, Chicago. Visitation was held at the Peter M , Justen and Son funeral home. A funeral Mass was offered at St. Mary's church, Monday morning at 10 o'clock, with burial in the church cemetery. JOSEPHINE A. BIESECKER Josephine A. Biesecker, 82, 805 W. Friendly, McHenry, died Nov. 17 at McHenry hospital. She was born Nov. 10, 1893, in Chicago. Survivors include her husband, Raymond; a daughter, Mrs. Anthony (Eleanor) Riccarde, Chicago; three sons, Vernon Roeske, Chicago, George Roeske, Cary, and Herbert, Bourbon, Mo.; twelve grandchildren; two brothers, Carl Schwanenberg, Chicago, and John Sch­ wanenberg, California. A daughter, Meredith Cope, and son, Raymond Roeske, prceded her in death. Visitation was scheduled for Tuesday after 2 p.m. at the George R. Justen and Son funeral home where the funeral will be conducted Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock. Burial will be in Ridgewood cemetery, DesPlaines. MICHAEL POLANEC Services were conducted Monday morning in the Warner and Flagg Cary-Grove chapel for Michael Polanec, 23, of 1911 S. Crystal Lake road, McHenry. He was pronounced dead on arrival at McHenry hospital Friday morning, Nov. 14, after being found shot in his home. Mr. Polanec was born Jan. 30, 1952, in Dusseldorf, Ger­ many. He was a roofer for Crystal Lake Roofing company and a member of the Crystal Lake Moose lodge. Survivors are his father, who lives in Cary ; his mother, Anna Marie Young, Fox River Grove; a brother, Ralph Polanec, and a step-brother, Christopher Young, both at home in Fox River Grove; and a sister, Monika Graves, Ur- bana., Burial was in St. John's ^cemetery, Fox River Grove.
