He has announced his intention to seek reelection to that post. Kelly held a news conference last week and announced that he is proposing a series of debates with Schaffer. Kelly was appointed to serve as an associate judge in the 19th .Judicial Circuit court in McHenry county. He resigned as judge in November. 1974, and served as assistant state's attorney until this past Nov. 15 PAGE 15 - PLA1NDEALER when he resigned that position.
