AMERICAN LEGION H i s t o r i a n , J e a n e t t e Wakeham of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 1169, states, "Let's Make History". Americanism, Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation, Children and Youth, National Security, to mention just a few of our great programs in the American Legion auxiliary are the things we expose our members to. Make history by telling our story loud and clear, make history by letting these programs be known, make history by becoming involved. "A good organization without a history is like a man without a memory." You may ask, "What is so important about writing a history of the year's activities?" What better way to interest new members in joining and taking an active part in our American Legion auxiliary than by being able to point with pride to the many accomplishments of your unit by referring to its history. Lois Haak, Communications Chairman CANCER DRIVE A kick-off dinner for the 1976 Cancer drive was held on March 8, in Crystal Lake.
