Not wanting to YMCA HAS SWIM LESSONS FOR HANDICAPPED YOUTHS Swim instruction for han­ dicapped youths is being of­ fered this April on Tuesday from 3:30-4:15 p.m. at the Lake Region YMCA in Crystal Lake. This program is for youths, minimum age being seven. One adult must accompany each participant in this program throughout the 45 minutes swim. Medical forms and ap­ plications can be obtained from the YMCA by calling 459-4455. A special brochure explaining this program can be also ob­ tained. The YMCA has a six lane, twenty-five yard heated indoor pool where these lessons take place at the west side of Route 31 just south of Highway 14. W. Coari finished off with both high game (190) and high series (540) while S. Blume took high series with a 437 and J. Gray amassed 173 for high game. S. Richmond likes picking off those spares and took care of the 4-10 this week (what, only once?) while D. Prazak went out in a blaze and took off the 1-2-10. Next week is FUN NIGHT, so we can all relax and enjoy ourselves. Prizes will be awarded for the "winners" of our odd games, so don't miss out. K. Lescher Pool Closed The McHenry West campus high school swimming pool will be closed for extensive repairs starting April 12 through the early part of June. Summer swimming lessons will be held as soon as the pool is available. The public will be in­ formed of the opening date. Notice Sports Pictures Since previous notices (starting last fall) have not been noted, this will be run from time to time. Being unable to use the many group pictures sent in, a decision was made to discontinue all league groups except cham­ pionship teams. Pictures taken by our staff photographers of athletes on the high school level will be selected as to their importance. Individual pictures of various sports will be appraised as to their newsworthy value and available space.
