VISIT TULIP FESTIVAL The weatherman wasn't very cooperative when the Kenny Beck and Roger Petska families traveled to Holland, for the tulip festival but they still did a lot of sightseeing and enjoyed viewing the tulip fields. They watched part of the tulip parade and saw President Ford's daughter, Susan, in the parade. They also visited Windmill Island and explored a Dutch windmill, climbing six stories to the top for a view over tfte countryside. "500" CARD CLUB The ladies traveled to Woodstock to play "500" in the new home of Flora Carr. Clara Cristy was playing her cards well that day as she went home with high score; since Flora was at home, she just didn't pay too much attention to what she played and she ended up with low score. Of course, some of her misplays could have been because the ladies sur prised her so with the little house warming gift they took to her that day. A good time was had by all. Cal Skinner, Jr. (R-Crystal Lake) has mailed letters to all mayors and village presidents, except to the mayor of Chicago, urging each to ask for council or village board support of Woodstock City Council's resolution urging the four suburban directors of the Regional Transportation Authority "to stick to their plans to Mock passage of the 1977 budget until the chairman, Milton Pikarsky, steps down." Woodstock Mayor H. Joseph Gitlin seconded the motion, "because the RTA does not serve this county...! am not aware of any benefits from RTA to Woodstock or McHenry county," he emphasized. The Council was unanimous in its voice against Pikarsky's role in diverting the bulk of RTA's expenditures to his former employer, the Chicago Transit Authority.
