The highly talented Murk family provided an hour of musical, entertainment when Zion Lutheran church of McHenry held its centennial banquet on 'till county fairgrounds last Saturday night. Ringwood Church Bazaar Is Scheduled The annual Ringwood church bazaar and roast beef dinner will be Saturday, Nov. 13. GRANGER A former resident of McHenry, Orval A. Granger, 65, 840 N. Madison street, Woodstock, died Saturday evening, Oct. 23, in Memorial hospital, Woodstock. Born in McHenry June 9, 1911, he was the son of Darwin and Leola Toyton Granger. Mr. Granger was a member of Grace Lutheran church and Woodstock Moose Lodge 1329. He retired in 1972 from Woodstock Die Casting where he had been employed for 38 years. He is Siirvived by his widow, Lillian Seibel Granger, whom he married March 25, 1939; a daughter, Mrs. Merle (Bonnie) Schultz, Marengo; a son, Larry, his mother, both of Woodstock; two grand daughters; four brothers, Kenneth, Richmond, Donald, Chicago, Bruce, Sedona, Az., and Gordon, Minneapolis, Mn.; and two sisters, Mrs. Peter (Grace) Justen, Woodstock, and Mrs. Adrian (Mary) Krabbenhoft, Crystal Lake. His father and a sister, Ethel, preceded him in death. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Schneider, Leucht, Merwin and Cooney chapel, Woodstock, with the Rev. Irving E. Stangland officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery, Woodstock. MARY E. SCHARF Mary E. Scharf of Crown Point, In., mother of Lloyd R. Scharf, McHenry, died Oct. 19. Mrs. Scharf leaves her son and his wife, Midge Scharf; a granddaughter, Mary Sue Scharf, and a grandson, Tom Michelsen, all from McHenry , also a sister and nephew from Crown Point. Services were held in Crown Point Oct. 22. The deceased lived in McHenry for several years with her son and his family. Burning Car Found To Be Stolen Auto The Johnsburg Fire department was called out Sunday, to extinguish a vehicle fire on Ringwood road, west of Wilmot road. An investigation afterward showed the car was the property of Louis Foreman, 44 N. McKinley, Fox Lake, who was unaware that it was missing. It was believed the car was taken from his drive, and authorities theorized the vehicle was deliberately burned.
