CELEBRATE GOLDEN WEDDING Our belated best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. A1 Bennett, of Farmington, II., who celebrated their fiftieth wed ding anniversary Thanksgiving day. The Bennetts are the parents of Marcia Ratcliffe. Marcia and Lewis traveled to Farmington for an open house for her parents on the twenty- first of November. ABOUT TOWN Art Jensen with Nellie Hepburn and her son, John Blackman, traveled to Antioch last Sunday to visit Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Laursen. THANKSGIVING GATHERINGS Larry and Diane Cristy of Havana, II., spent the Thanksgiving weekend with his parents. Bill and Shirley Cristy, and sister, Sherri. Saturday evening they were joined by Diane's parents from Glen- view, Mrs. Clara Cristy, the Jerry Cristy family, Terri and Bill Anderson with daughter, Theresa. John Blackman of Goodland, Fl., Mrs. Nellie Hepburn, Charles and Dolores Brennan, and,the Frank Visconti family wefe dinner guests of the Kenneth Brennans at Wood stock. Art, Katy and Dave Christopher traveled to Ap- pleton for the day with Diane and Gary Linstad at his parents, the Howard Linstads. Patty and Rich Harrison had dinner with his family at Harvard. Thanks to the beautiful weather, fifty-nine members of the Benoy family gathered in Ringwood with some of the folks coming a long distance to enjoy the day. Those attending included Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Bensen of West Virginia, the Lynn £enoy family from Ohio, Les Benoy from Missouri. From Crystal Lake there was Mr. and Mrs. Harry Benoy and Lynnette, and the Mark LeFevere family. Darrell Benoy, Ronald Benoy, Ray Benoy family and Richard Drexler family traveled from Woodstock. Also, Mrs. Alice Moan and family and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wilcox. Others present were Terri Benoy of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Benoy of Har vard, Wilbur Benoy family and Don West family of Elkorn. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Walkington from Carbondale, Mr. and Mrs. Benson from Cambridge, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schultz of Hebron, Clarence Adams, Jr., family, Alvin Benoy family and Paul Walkington family. John and Ila Hogan and grandson, Michael Hogan, picked Randy Sonnemaker up at Rockford college Wednesday of last week and headed for Omaha, Nb., for Thanksgiving dinner with daughter, Mary Sonnemaker, hubby, Earl and family. They arrived home Sunday bringing Randy back to college as they traveled through Rockford. While at Mary and Earl's they had a tour of Offut Air Force base and museum. This is the largest SAC base in the U.S. In the museum they saw one of every plane that has ever been flown by the Air Force. A few miles from Omaha is Boys' Town so they also visited there. And, of course, John had to see the barns and milking parlors and all the little calves and heifers. Boys' Town con sists of 1,475 acres - 1,000 acres tillable and the rest have buildings^ etc., on it. If ever in that area, the Hogans say don't miss stopping and visiting. Bob and Martha Betts and son, David, and daughter, Dolores, and friend spent Thanksgiving day with dftughter Debbie and Bill Bork and grandson, little Aaron. Martha sajtd 'twas nice not to be doing all ttie cooking. Debbie did a wonaerful job on dinner. Thanksgiving activities in the Richard Zell home were busy ones. Phyllis' son, Tom Davis, and family arrived Wednesday evening from Ohio. And daughter, Debbie Harris, and children of Milwaukee arrived Thursday morning to enjoy Mom's Thanksgiving dinner. Saturday all the family gathered at Phyllis' sister's home in Zion for a family get- together. Uncle Walter Pilgram and wife of Austin, Tx., arrived for the family gathering. Another aunt and her two daughters came and the family hadn't seen them in years. Highlight of the evening was a diary of Grandma Miller's that Uncle Walter had brought along for everyone to read and enjoy. Son, Tom and family left for home on Sunday morning. Walt and Doris Low; Ray and Tom; Patti Miller and sons, Lee and Scott of Ringwood; Sue Erwin, Donna, Eddie, and Marcy of Johnsburg; Bob, Sue Low and Bobby and Mabel Thomas of McHenry; Alice Mae and Walt Wilcox of Woodstock ; and Pam and Dan Kehoe of Elkhorn, Wi., ate Thanksgiving dinner with Linda and Bill Billikas and sons, Nicky and Charlie in Dubuque, Io. Mary and G.W. Thomas of Corydon, la., were also there for dinner as well as a few friends of Linda and Bill's. All arrived home safely, tired and with full tummies. We enjoyed the usual turkey and Greek dressing, spinach pie and Bac la va, a greek dessert!
