This will be added to the account that will go towards beautifying the lakfefront in Lakemoor this coming spring. Fine Arts Chorale Will Present Concert I.ADIES LEAGUE The ladies held their regular meeting Wednesday, Dec. 1. following the business of the evening the members held their social hour. Winners for the evening were, first, Helen Para; second, Lu Gravenstuk; third, Carol Green; fourth Jean Dember, and the booby prize was won by Eunice Tobey. Hostesses were Jean Dember and Lu Gravenstuk. FUN CLUB The Fun club members held their Christmas party at one of the newer restaurants in MtHenry. While there they enjoyed luncheon and then exchanged gifts. Seven members were in attendance. BELATED BIRTHDAYS Dec. 9, Del Watkins has become one year older. On the tenth Rusty Hueckstaedt had one more candle on his cake. On the eleventh Jimmy Johnson and Mike Reese have shared that date and on the twelfth Debbie Skelton and Curtis Freeman will have had a brighter cake due to adding one more candle to it. On the thirteenth Renee Johnson had "Happy Bir­ thday" sung to her, and on the fourteenth Andreas Kowal celebrated his natal day. I hope each of you had your birthday wish come true. UP-TO-DATE-BIRTHDAYS Happy birthday to Alfred Dember on the fifteenth, to Brandy Bolda on the sixteenth, and to Genene Maxson and Alfred M. Dember on the seventeenth. May each of you have a very happy day. ANNIVERSARIES Belated wishes go out to Sam and Chris Sances and to Mr. and Mrs. Harold Nixon. Both couples celebrated the an­ niversary of their wedding date on the tenth. Henry and Claudia Garn will be celebrating their anniversary on the eighteenth. Many happy returns of the day to all three couples. CONDOLENCES On Thanksgiving day, the Morrissette home was shocked and saddened with the antimely death of Frank Morrissette. His survivors are his wife. Sarah, and a daughter. Pam. They were relatively new to Lilvmoor. The family resides at 1(»1 N. North boulevard. On Dec. 6, Lily moor lost a longtime resident when Ruth Young passed away after being in ill health for about five years Ruth leaves her husband. Theron (Cy>. three children, eleven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. The Youngs were members of several organizations and they took part in many many community projects and af­ fairs. They have been residents in the community for ap­ proximately thirty years. On behalf of Lilymoor, may I express sympathy to both the Morrissette and the Young families on your losses. DR. KLWOOD SMITH The Woodstock Fine Arts chorale will present its eleventh annual Christmas concert Saturday, Dec. 11, at the First Presbyterian church of Woodstock, Tyron street at Calhoun, at 8 p.m. The Fine Arts chorale is under the direction of Dr. El wood Smith, professor of music at Northern Illinois university. Dr. Smith is the conductor of the NIU concert choir and the university chorus.
