Outside the ground is all covered with snow The house is all decorated with lights aglow Is it any wonder they cannot fall asleep? They're listening for footsteps, they want to get a peek At this jolly fat man who brings games and toys Providing of course, they've been good girls and boys There is a story of which they have been told That if they've been naughty, he'll leave a piece of coal "Oh, don't let that happen to me," they pray "I promise to be good from now on, every day" Sleep overtakes them after many a yawn But they're up and running at the first light of dawn With eyes opened wide at all that they see For Santa has left many gifts 'neath the tree Though they never get to see this mysterious man One thing is certain, they're his greatest fan by Florence B.
