By Dick Rabbitt Coach Ken Ludwig will take his McHenry High Warriors on the road for a pair of games this weekend. Tonight the Warriors visit the Tigers in Crystal Lake for a North Suburban con ference encounter. Playing in the fieldhouse has not been one of the Warriors strong points, and with a three game losing streak, it makes the job most difficult. The Tigers have been a disappointment to Coach John Swenson this season. They are perched in 7th place in the North Suburban with a win and four losses. When I was young, parents used to say children were to be seen and not heard. Now that I am a big boy it would please me to hear some people on TV if I didn't have to look at them. Rte. 47 -- WOODSTOCK - 338-6454 The Tigers are led by two sophomores, guard Tom Pence, and 6'5" center Ralph Statter. Of course I'm sure that Coach Swenson knows that over the years seniors dominate the North Suburban; and you can't expect to win with un derclassmen. Senior guard Tim O'Neil, along with seniors Pat Bab- bington and senior Karl Kollar make up the rest of the lineup for the Tigers. The Warriors are working hard this week, and from all reports, are out to make amends for their showing last weekend. On Saturday night they travel to Woodstock to take on an old rival that dates back to the days of S.I.H. When these two teams play, toss out past season records and hope for the best that will take place. The Streaks last Friday nite knocked off a good Warren club by a score of 57 to 37, and then on Saturday night^lost a tough decision to Antioch 52 to 51. Woodstock led by 3 pts. with less than a minute to play, but fouls proved the turning point, as the Sequoits coverted 5 of 5 in the last minute to take the decision. Th£ Streaks are led by 6'4" Ron Genot, along with senior guard Mark Shipley and Ed Schwebke In the past several seasons the Warriors have had fun and games with the Streaks but you can bet that Woodstock is awaiting the Warriors this season. However, the Warriors still arise to the task when the Streaks are an opponent, and it should be a whale of a ball game.
