By Dick Rabbitt Playing their poorest game of the season, the Warriors of Ken Ludwig went down to a 69 to 54 defeat at the hands of the Zion Benton ZeeBees here Friday night. Along with the defeat the Warriors lost the services of A1 Reinboldt for the remainder of the season, when the young lad broke an ankle in the opening minutes of the game. The in jury to Reinboldt is a severe blow to Warrior chances tnroughout the rest of the season The Warriors never led in the game, and at the midway point in the opening period Hurckes's basket knotted the game at 8 all The ZeeBees then scored 10 unanswered points, before Partenheimer and Miller s basket narrowed the margin to an 18 to 12 first period deficit The Warriors managed to creep up slowly in the early going of the second perk d. and Phillips free throw at 4 15 brought the Warriors to within three 22 to 19 Again the ZeeBees spurted, and with Miller and Hurckes doing the remainder of the scoring in the period, found the Warriors on the short end of a ;J5 to 27 margin at the in termission Steve Knox's three baskets in the third period, kept the game from really getting out of reach and the Warriors still trailed 51 to 37 going into the final eight minutes.
