On a num ber of occasions He proved Himself to Abraham. He shared His true identity with the Apostles. And the New Test ament offers ample evidence for God's existence and the qualities of His personality. The Apostles were often called upon to prove their identity. And you and I, from time to time, must prove that we are what we claim to be-Christians. The Bible spells out clearly what the proofs of Christian discipleship are. A Christian is one wno is sincerely seeking to follow the teachings of the Bible, to become as mucn like Jesus as possible, and to obey the wiii of God in every way he can. Another evidence of dis cipleship is the fruit that we bear for Christ. The fruit is described as qualities that should be present in every Christian's life. Some of these are love, joy, peace, long- suffering, meekness, gentle TUPN ONS IP n VOU WERE MARRIED 12 TIMES.' MOW OLD ARE YOU . 7 TWENTY SEVEN/ VOU WERE MARRIED 12 TIMES.' MOW OLD ARE YOU . 7 ness godliness. True Christians are better than non-Christians. They speak a pure language; are more helpful to their friends and neighbors; are friends and neighbors; are more willing to forgive their enemies; ana are more able to stand against the tests, trials, and temptations that come to them. Those of us who are Chris tians dont carry an I.D. card that says, "Genuine Christian." Nor do we have the word "Christian" tattooed on our foreheads. The only way peo ple are going to know that we are genuine Christians is if we are daily becoming more like Christ--adopting tne charac teristics He possessed in per fection as perfectly as we can in our lives. This is the "acid test" of true Christianity. For a confidential and Bib lical answer to your Question,^ write Larry Swaim, 985 Ponce de Leon Avenue, NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30306.
