The floral display will remain STAFF PHOTO-WAYNE GAYLORD The calender says it's spring, and the McHenry Savings & Loan is going out of its way to remind people that, regardless of the weather, spring is indeed here. For the fifth consecutive year, the savings institution has its own mini-garden on display in the main building, adding a freshness and springlike atmosphere to the building. The purpose, as explained by V i c e - P r e s i d e n t J i m Marinangel, is to get everyone in the spring mood. "We used to fill up the entire lobby," he explained. "But now we've gone to the 'mini- garden.'" The Savings & Loan brought in a flower shop from Arlington Heights to set up the display, which includes a waterfall and statuettes as well as beautiful flowers. It takes only one day to set up the display, including the landscaping and putting in the bark and gravel for decorative purposes. The floral arrangement is generally displayed in con junction with the Flower and Garden show in Chicago each year. Marinangel explained that the flowers will be changed sometime this week to show more varieties of blooms than can be normally be shown in a such a limited space. In its fifth year, the mini- garden is becoming something of a tradition for both the bank and the community, and, in deed, does remind the people of McHenry that regardless of the weather, spring IS here The Growler He: "You think more of your dog than you do of me." She: "Well, the dog growls less." Too True "What is the secret of suc cess in life?" "I don't really know but I fear it is connected with work!" Already Trained "Does your husband ex pect you to obey him?" "Oh, dear. no. You see he's been married before." 0 § U UU'o A GIVE AWAY 5 cash is yours for the asking! NO GIMMICKS! NO HARD SELL!
