Let's see everyone at the polls April 19. Also, the school board election will be held Saturday. April 9. from 12 noon till 7 p.m. In past years, McCullom Lake residents have virtually ignored the school board elections, even though villagers themselves have been running in the election Let's show the people of McHenry that we really care about the way our children's educations are planned. Get out and vote April 9! „ CLEAN-UP On March 26, the 4-Her's. McCullom Lake Little Leaguers, and other village kids, led by Gene and Ann Huff, cleaned up the beach and park area If you have been by there, you can see how much nicer it looks, and that makes us all look good to people driving through the village Gene and Ann fed all the workers, enabling them to continue on with their work without collapsing from hunger. The whole village owes them acknowledgement for the great job they did Frank Kurth, who as always was right in the middle, helping out, asks that if you are one of the people who left clothes or rakes at the beach, or took the wrong rakes home, to contact him or the village clerk. EASTER The Easter egg hunt. Little Miss McCullom Lake contest, and Penny carnival, sponsored by the Beach Gals, will be held Saturday, April 9, beginning at 10 a.m. at the beach house Bring your pennies, and come down and have a good time and win lots of swell prizes playing all the games. There will be eggs to find that have money in them, so even if you don't have too many pennies, come down, and you might win some in the hunt. All Beach Gals are requested to bring two dozen colored eggs to Dawn Miller's house, at 4807 W. Parkview, or to Donna Gates', at 2722 N. Orchard, by Friday. Donations will also be ac cepted from any kind people who might find room in their hearts to donate some eggs for the hunt. And if you're baking for Easter, make a few extra cookies, and bring them down to the beach house Saturday morning BEEP. BEEP If you see any semi trucks coming down the road at you in the near future around these parts, take a good look at who's behind the wheel. Phyllis Venable has recently gotten her permit to drive a semi, and I've heard that she's out on the roads. Good for you, Phyllis, have lots of fun! You sure wouldn't get me behind the wheel of one of those trucks, and your courage is admirable. ALL BETTER Bob Raycraft underwent surgery for removal of his tonsils last week, and 1 m happy to report that it certainly seems he has quickly returned to normal activity. He's up and around, and should be just tine from now on.
