Bus Tour Scheduled ^ For "Alice" Interested persons are in­ vited to join the Woodstock Fine Arts association bus trip to Arie Crown theatre to see the Ruth Page production of "Alice-in-Wonderland" April 16. Tickets are now available and the price includes char­ tered bus transportation and theatre. The bus will leave the A v -e Hardware parking lot on Rt. 47 at 12:15 p.m. to attend the 2 p.m. performance. Anyone who wishes may bring a sack lunch to be eaten on the bus. For reservations, call 338-6517. Tickets are limited. The motto of some peo­ ple is not to let principle interfere with principal. Bride Carries Mother's Lace Handkerchief Rae Ellen Smith carried the same white l^ce handkerchief that her fnother had carried on her wedding day when she became the bride of Carey Lane Fenner during a 2:30 ceremony Saturday. Wpril 2. The altar of St. Mary's Catholic church was decorated with yellow mums when the Rev. William Schwartz blessed the union. Musical selections were guitar and vocal duets by Dennis Rieben and Steve King Commentator during the nuptial Mass was a friend of the family. Fred J. Meyer. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Smith of 1511 N. Park street and the groom's parents are Mr and Mrs. Richard Fenner of 1200 N. Clover lane, all of Mc]Henry. The bride was lovely in a full length white chiffon gown with an empire waistline, lace bodice, high collar, bishop sleeves and a chapel train. The sleeves and skirt hem were trimmed with matching lace. Lace also trimmed the chiffon covered picture hat with veiling attached bv a bow on the back. A bouquet of yellow glamelias, white elegance carnations, yellow silk flowers, white babies breath. Boston fern and dracena leaves was carried Kathleen Tripoli of Lake Villa attended her friend as matron of honor with two McHenry friends. Greta Widen and Francis Malpede and the groom's cousin, Debra Bren- nan of Wauconda as bridesmaids. Linda Schmitt of Johnsburg acted as junior bridesmaid. The matron of honor and junior bridesmaid were gowned in yellow while the rest of the attendants wore mint green. The chiffon floor length dresses were styled with gathered Empire waistlines, full cut, elbow length sleeves and floral trimmed necklines. They wore headbands made by the bride of matching ribbon with yellow silk flowers. They carried bouquets similiar to the bride's. Best man duties were han­ dled by William Gregory of McHenry, a friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Randall Smith, bride's brother, Kenneth Owens and Steven Huska, all of McHenry. The bride's mother wore a shrimp colored floorjength knit dress while Mrs. Foimcr chose a gown of lavender with matching, jacket. Each had a rs» corsage of coi imentary Colors. \ The newly weds greeted guests at t*e Johnsburg Community club following the nuptial Mass. A trip to Mexico will be taken before they begin- residency in their McHenry home. The bride is a 1974 graduate of McHenry Community high school and an admitting clerk for McHenry hospital. Mr. Fenner graduated from the same high school in 1972 and is a lineman for the Crystal Lake division of Commonwealth Edison. The groom 's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner Friday evening at St. Patrick's church hall. The bride was honored at three bridal showers prior to the wedding. Mrs. Rita Loveless of Morton Grove was hostess along with Mrs. Margaret Fenner and Mrs. Debra Brennan for one while another took place in the home of Mrs. Carol Kramer of Spring. Assisting Mrs. Kramer were Mrs. Lois Crouch, Mrs. Susan Koleno and Mrs. Vivian Kramer. The bridesmaids honored the bride-to-be at the home of Greta Widen of McHenry recently. A broken toe is nature's way of emphasizing the importance of the foot. Spring Cleaning Items Welcomed For May Fair Members of the Mental Health Resource league for McHenry county remind that there is still time to do some spring cleaning and donate used items in good condition to them for "Fair Diddley," to be held Sunday. May 15. from noon until 6 p.m.. on the Woodstock city square. ^Hardcover or paperback books. children's books, comics, National Geographies, and records may be donated to the league's Used Books and Records booth. The Toy booth is appealing for donations of unused or outgrown toys and games that are in good con­ dition. The "Kids Korner" com­ mittee is looking for new and nearly-new children's clothing through size 14. Nursery items and stuffed animals can also be used. This year, the Resource league will also have its own craft booth and individuals may donate their hobby products or special craft projects. In the tradition of country fairs, there will be a baked goods booth. Pies, breads and cookies (no icing, please) will be welcome donations. Persons interested in making any donations to the league should call Mrs. Kingsley Forbes, or Mrs. Robert Jessup. both of McHenry. "Fair Diddley", featuring over 170 craft exhibitors and continuous entertainment, is sponsored annually by the Mental Health Resource league for McHenry county. Martin, who died in 1947, are the parents of five children, Mrs. Mary (Bill) Ellrich of McHenry; Mrs. Clara (John) Bedierman of Melrose Park; Joseph (Angela) Kwasniewski of Florida; Harry (Helen) Kwasniewski of Missouri and Hillard (Ruth) Kwasniewski of Chicago.
