PAID FOR BY CANDIDATE The McHenry sophomore baseball team picked up two wins during the past week, to go along with a defeat by Elgin l>arkin to match the varsity in the early season Tim Frantz with three hits and relief pit cher Bill Lang combined for a win over Wauconda by the score of 8 to 4 on Wednesday. The young Warriers overcame a 4 to t) deficit to win the game On Thursday again the sophs came from behind to beat Carmel 5 to 4. Pete Prust led the attack with 2 hits, and again relief pitcher Jim Adams picked up the victory However, on Friday the Larkin sophs proved too strong as they defeated the locals 12 to 6. with Tim Zeller taking the loss Pat Teuber with 2 hits led the local attack, along with Mark Ziszik's three run triple in the 3rd inning. Thursday the sophs host Lake Zurich, and Saturday travel for a twin bill at Lake Forest In the only freshman game played. Dave Luckett's boys won over Wauconda 15 to 8. Most of the programs meet once a week for ten weeks Belly dancing classes for females are on Thursday at 7 p.m. for beginners and 7:50 p.m. for intermediates. Springboard diving classes meet Monday or Tuesday from 8:45 to 9:30 p.m. A Family Communication Seminar is available on Monday from 8:15 to 9:45 p.m. Golf for beginners or in termediates is available at Arnold Palmer Driving range on Wednesday or Thursday evenings. A1 Hauth's judo class is on Thursday starting at 6:30 p.m, for beginners. 7:40 p.m. for intermediates and advance. Aquanatics is exercise in the water for swimmers or non swimmers. Classes are available in the mornings or evenings. Men's exercise class measures cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, agility and strength and is available mornings or evenings. . Women's exercise class includes trimming, stretching, muscle tone and overall body development. Classes are mornings or evenings. All morning classes have babysitting available. . Y's Way to a Healthy Back class is composed of a series of movements that begin with relaxation, then flexibility, muscle strengthening and returning to muscle relaxation techniques. Class is held on Monday and Wednesday from 6:45 to 7:30 p.m. for six weeks. Weight training and use of the 15 station Universal Weight Lifting machine is available from 6 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on IV'onday through Friday, on Houlihan a happy birthday. In the Opener they defeated Wauconda 8 to 3 with Lee Steinsdoerfer picking up the win. Steve Mai led the attack with two hits. Thursday they lost to Carmel of Mundelein 3 to 1 with Tom Lundelius taking the loss. Friday they bounced back to defeat Elgin Larkin 6 to 2. Dave Covalt took the win. Brian Bilasi had two hits including a clutch single, along with a clutch hit by Steve Mai. The major leagues swing into action this week and it will be interesting to see how the big switch in personnel will turn out Most writers report that the rich will get richer. Some think and secretly hope that some players in the millionaire club will do a floperoo. Guess we can't--blame the players for getting all the moola they can wring out of the owners. We do think some of the players have seen their best days and others have a lot of guts asking for enormous salaries when their credentials show batting averages that I
