McHenry high school has been chosen as a Pilot Exemplary Placement site. Many former MCHS students have taken advantage of the placement service. S i x t y - f i v e a d ­ ministrators, vocational directors, and coun­ selors attended two workshops conducted by Jerry Gudauskas, McHenry high school placement director, as part of the Pilot Exemplary Placement program. Highland Community college at Freeport and M i d v a l l e y A r e a Vocational center at Maple Park were chosen as sites for the presentations in the northern section of Illinois in cooperation with / the Illinois Department of Adult, V o c a t i o n a l a n d Technical Education. The purpose of the seminars was to provide input to educational leaders in developing placement services at high schools, area centers, and community colleges. The recent 1976 Vocational Education act was also discussed by a state vocational consultant who is assigned to assist public schools in the initiation of placement services. McHenry high school is a Pilot Exemplary Placement Project (PEPP) site. Many s t u d e n t s , f o r m e r graduates, and local employers have taken advantage of this local employment service. Lion And The Mouse" Set At Harrison School Mrs. Mona Brown, vocal director at Harrison school, along with the varsity chorus members of Harrison, are currently involved in a children's musical, "The Lion and the Mouse". It will be presented for children Saturday, May 21, at 2 p.m. at Harrison school gymnasium. The varsity chorus is made up of sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students. The cast for the musical will be: the lion, Brady Anderson, soncof Mr. and Mrs. Robert Anderson; the mouse, Mary Ellen Higgins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Higgins; the fly, Doug Maris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Maris; the rose, Cindy Bunderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gun- derson. The lead flower will be Pam Smidt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Murray Smidt.
