(STAFF PHOTO-WAYNE GAYLORD) EARL WALSH So I Hear SPORTS EDITOR The time came for one of those periodic tours into Wisconsin with the Winkels so away we went Of course, we headed for Holy Hill where people gather from many states. Besides the beauty of the church, the sights from van tage points high on the hill are something to behold. The air was clear and visibility took us as far as the eye could distinguish objects in the countryside There certainly wasn't much traffic on those Wisconsin roads Had to get back to McHenry to see the cars roll by. Many of those small towns in Wisconsin are very peaceful. Not the hustle and bustle we see Guess those people make a living at a slower pace. TV' reruns are with us and probably will last through the summer Let 's be thankful the baseball games are first run programs. Now the star wants to be traded. Other teams may look twice. The batters don't swing at past reputations. Play me or trade me is the theme today. The manager has 25 players and can start only nine men, plus a designated hitter in the American League. Kids are beginning to count the number of days remaining in the school year. We know one enterprising young boy who searches for lost golf balls to sell during the summer. Right now he is sup plementing his buisness bv catching and selling turtles and snakes. He'll never be unem ployed. Southern educators ask less government regulation. The McHenry high school sophomore baseball team split a pair of games this week On Monday, after leading 7 to 1. the young Warriors did a complete turnaround and lost a tough game 8 to 7 to the host Antioch sophomores Mike Mroz led the attack with a double and triple Jim Scully took the loss On Tuesday the sophomores bounced back and defeated Crown 3 to 2 behind the pitching of Russ Oszminski.
