Soon he'll be walking, talking, asking questions. Are you ready to answer them? Or, are you con fused? Wondering the way the world is going, just where it is going to go? The Church isn't going to give you a set of printed answers. But it will give you something much more valuable. It will help to start working out those answers for yourself. Try it. The Ch|cago and North Western train depot is offering umbrellas free on a lending basis to all commuters caught unprepared by a sudden rainstorm. Even the most sunny spring day can let loose a sudden shower, catching commuters unprepared. Supervisor Leonard Walavich helps Chicago and North Western commuters meet the unex pected by making available almost 1,000 umbrellas at the Rainstick Junction cart in North Western* station, beginning in late April. The umbrellas, all unclaimed from the railroad's lost and found department, are loaned free of charge to any rider caught unprepared by a sudden shower. The railroad asks only that the borrowed umbrella be returned to the cart for the next commuter. Umbrellas are stamped "Return to Rainstick Junction". Although very few umbrellas are returned to the cart at the end of the year, a new collection of unclaimed u m b r e l l a s c o n t i n u a l l y develops, making possible another Rainstick season. During the fourteen years that Rainstick Junction has been in operation, ap proximately 5,000 umbrellas have been recycled to com muters. » * * • Ever^ special group has special reasons to justify its special demands for special privileges. Calling Colleen Protective Brother MakesThings Difficult For BY COLLEEN DUDGEON Instead of having an over bearing father, I have a over- protective brother! You wouldn't believe how miserable he makes m y l i f e . H e i s always calling or coming over to check up on what I'm doing. I'm 22 years old and I handle my affairs j u s t f i n e . H e wants to know who I'm going out with, where we go and what time we get home. At present I'm seeing a guy my brother is not too fond of. My brother doesn't like the fact that this guy won't take me out to the nicest restaurants in town. I know why -- he simply doesn't have the money. I like this guy for what he is, not for where he takes me. My brother thinks I deserve better and he's threatened to tell my current boyfriend to start treating me right or else. I know my brother would never actually fight this guy, but I don't want any trouble. What can I tell my brother to make him realize that I don't want him messing up my life. He's always been like this and so far I've put up with it. However, I like my boyfriend too much to subject him to this useless abuse. Big Brother Watches Dear Little Sister: Tell your brother to pay more attention to his life instead of yours. Dtin't avoid the issue -- he's hurting himself by in jecting himself into your affairs just as much as he's hurting you. Does he have a family? Is he lonely? Try to figure out what is missing in his life that would cause him to throw himself into yours. Let him know you ap preciate his love and attention. But let him know there's a dif ference between brotherly love and outright dumbness. Your boyfriend should be warned so that if the situation does come up, he won't be caught off guard.
