Vadasz, in­ structor of speech at McHenry County college since 1969, was voted by the MCC faculty to participate in the eighth annual Great Teachers' seminar, June 5-10. The Welker s, formerly of Whispering Oaks, McHenry, moved to 5500 Carriageway drive, Rolling Meadows, about four years ago. Survivors besides her husband are two daughters and one son, Sister Lorraine Welker, OSF, Bert, Jr., and Grace Chambers; also five grandchildren. A Mass will be offered Friday at 10 o'clock in Our Lady Mother of the Church,> with entombment in St. Joseph's mausoleum. ELIZABETH S. MICHELS Mrs. Elizabeth S. Michels, 80. of 1816 W. Boiling, McHenry, died in McHenry hospital, Tuesday, May 17. Mrs. Michels was born in the McHenry area June 12, 18%, the daughter of Joseph and Katherine Freund. She was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, St. Clara Court 659, and St. Mary's Catholic church Christian Mothers. Her husband, Charles H. whom she married May 6, 1925 in McHenry, survives in ad­ dition to a daughter, Mrs. Francis (Lorraine) Wolowic, Mundelein; two sons, Harold of McCullom Lake and Rick of Pistakee Highlands; nineteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Anton (Helen) Williams of McHenry and a brother, George P. Freund. She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. The George R. Justen & Son funeral home scheduled visitation Thursday from 3 to 9 p.m. A Mass will be offered Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic church with burial in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in the name of the deceased to the Johnsburg Rescue squad. JERRY L. HUDDLESTON Jerry L. Huddleston, 35, of 8413 Memory Trail, Wonder Lake, was pronunced dead on arrival at McHenry hospital Wednesday night, May 18, following an auto accident. His widow, Elaine, survives in addition to two children. Arrangements were in­ complete at the Halm's Wonder Lake funeral home at press time. ALEXANDER B. CHAMBERS Ten-year-old Alexander B. Chambers, of 701 Amanda, Fritzsche Estates, died Wed­ nesday, May 18, as the result of a drowning accident. The youth was born July 7, 1966, in McHenry, the son of Fred J. and Gwenda (Walters) Chambers. He was a student at Hilltop school. Survivors include „ his parents, a sister, Gayelyn; a brother, Claudius; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bud Clark of Jonesboro, Ark.f paternal grandparents, Opie' and the late Fern Chambers of McHenry; and two great grandmothers, Elsie Berends of McHenry and Mamie Brown, Coos Bay, Ore. The Peter M. Justen & Son funeral home will hold visiting hours Friday from 3 to 9 p.m. Chapel services are scheduled Saturday at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Marshall E. Werry of the First Baptist church , of McHenry officiating. In­ terment will be in Ringwood cemetery. A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 22, at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist church of McHenry. ROY J. MORRISON Roy Morrison, former thirty- year resident at 109 W. Rand road, Lakemoor, died May 18 at Lakeside Veterans Ad­ ministration hospital at the age of 77. Mr. Morrison was born Aug. 20 , 1901. He was a lifetime member of the McHenry VFW and the McHenry American Legion. " His wife, Augusta Morrison, survives. BICYCLE AUCTION An auction of unclaimed bicycles collected by the McHenry Police department will be held Saturday, May 28, at 10 a.m. at the city garage, 105 N.Green street. Money collected will be placed in the General fund of the city.
