The new of­ ficers are: Gary Boettcher, Cary, president; Mary Nelson, LITH, vice president ; and Jan Lanman, Crystal Lake, secretary-treasurer. The board members are: Lucille Ber­ tram, Crystal Lake; Karen Boettcher, Cary; Carla Ben­ nett, Crystal Lake; Cindy Caba, Algonquin; Bemie Coonen, Woodstock; Les Stoxen, Harvard; Ron Nelson, LITH; Betty Van DeVenter, Crystal Lake; and Karol Kath, Woodstock. , „ Special recognition was given to outgoing president, Greg Osburn, and secretary- treasurer Sally Osburn of Algonquin, for a job well done. New plans include changes in adoption policy and procedures effective June 1; lending assistance to the Animal Control center; planning and preparing an official brochure contents to include Helping Paws history, policies, procedures, local laws applicable to the work of the organization, names of agencies and organizations to call for information; and finally to found a satellite adoption center for McHenry county. Scheduled events are a tag day in Crystal Lake, June 18; a tag day in McHenry, July 23, and representation at Algonquin Founders ' day celebration, July 30 and 31.
