This graduation portrait captures the different facets of the commencement exercise which was held last week for the senior class at McHenry high school. Graduation encompasses much more than just the handing out of diplomas. True, graduation is for the students, and the students were represented with speeches given by Class President Mike Gibbons, and by Class Valedictorian Bonnie Bourke. But graduation also includes comments from the faculty and administration. Above, East Campus Principal Gary Fields addresses the graduates. The evening is also for parents, and it was an extra special evening for board of education President James Althoff, who handed out the diplomas to each student. Althoff s daughter, Patti, was among those graduating, and the two shared a special moment together when father honored daughter with her diploma. Students, faculty, administrators, parents -- graduation is indeed for everyone. * • » ' i
