JULY 27, 1977 Lakemoor-Lilymoor Alma Hueckstaedt 385-5689 Columnist- Husband Take South Vacation To those of you who were wondering why my column hisnt been In It was because Bud and I left on vacation July 1. We stopped overnight in Missowi and the next morning headed lor Rockwall, Tex. (just outside Dallas) to visit our niece, Judy Evans, her hmband. Ken, and their three daughters, Lisa, Laura and Linda When we arrived there it was like a mini-reunion as my sister, EvatUoaell of Bellevue, Mich., our nieces and husbands, Marian and Tom Ross of LaPorte, Ind , also Marilyn and Dick Wolfe of Kalamazoo, Midi., were there. On the fourth another niece Janet and her husband, Clinton, and thair two boys came from Irving, Tex., to visit with the rest of us. We spent the Fourth of July weekend with them and had a very good time. Oe Tuesday morning we left for California. We arrived in our Anaheim Friday afternoon at the home of very good friends of ours, Mr. and Mrs. John Gilmer, where we spent the second weekend of vacation. One evening we went 1 the ocean which incic was the coolest place weN been in quite a while. The day the four of us drove to Pedro Bay where we had lunch and visited many of the little shops there. Then we went to the future homesite of the Gilmers just outside Riverside, calif. If it is any consolation to any of you readers it seemed each state we went through was hotter than the one we had just left if that was possible. The states driven through were Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah. Colorado. Nebraska, Iowa and back into our home state Illinois. While in California we went through the Roy Rogers- Dale Evans museum. A very interesting palce to visit. Bud and I arrived home Thursday evening very glad to be home once again. The fund-raising group is accused of failing to register as a fund-raiser with the attorney general's office, failing to file the required bond money, contract violations and with taking more of the proceeds than is permitted under state law.
