PAGE 2 - PLAINDEAtJEE-JFRIPAY, OCTOBER 7. 1977 emmammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm MR. AND MRS. GUY DISNEY Golden Years Celebrated By The Guy Disneys Mr. and Mrs. Guy Disney, of 4406 Sussex drive, McHenry, celebrated their fiftieth anniversary Sept. 30 with a banquet at the Cabriolet Supper Club in Libertyville. The occasion was arranged by their children, Mrs. Robert Pirtle of Watertown, Wis. and Donald Grant Disney of Chicago. The golden affair was kicked off by the entrance of Mr. and Mrs. Disney to the strains of Mendelssohn's wedding march. The bride of a half a century was stunningly dressed in beige and gold from head to toe, literally - gold sparkles in her hair and gold sandles on her feet. The gold chrysanthemums and candles used in the decor complemented her beautifully. Walter Gebhart of Chicago acted as the master of ceremony after the dinner and sang a beautiful song to the bride and groom. William Wilson, of 4607 Ashley, McHenry was the toastmaster for the champagne toast just preceding the cutting of the three-tiered wedding cake. 1 Among the sixty guests in attendance were, Mr. Disney's two older sisters (both over 80 years young), Mrs. Zella Walters of Sturgis, Mich, and Mrs. Hazel Farmer of Wheaton, 111. A younger sister, Mrs. Erwin Vollmer and her husband from Alexandria, Va. were also in attendance. Mrs. Disney's side of the family was represented by her brother, Benjamin Broschard and his wife from Chicago; her niece, Mrs. Robert Rutledge and her husband from Carlinville, 111. Mr. Disney had his share of nieces and nephews present, Mr. and Mrs. Horace Polgaze from Wheaton, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Knaebe and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Knaebe and their sister, Mrs. Ruth Budsberg, all from the Milwaukee area. Other out of town guests included Mr. and Mrs. Leo Dietrich of Baraboo Wis., cousins of Mrs. Disney, Mr. and Mrs. John Kaebitzsch and Tina, from Lake In The Hills, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Ryan of Barrington. Guests from Whispering Oaks, McHenry area, were Mr. and Mrs. William Wilson, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Crawford, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Kauth, and Ed Kloser. Also present from Chicago were their former neighbors and friends of yesteryears. A second wedding ceremony along with all the original vows was presided over by the Disneys pastor, Rev. Robert Hagerman of the Crystal Lake Assembly of God church. Mrs. Hagerman was the piano accompanist for the evening. Twenty of the guests stayed overnight, all had breakfast together and spent the rest of the day at the Disney's home where reminiscing prevailed Pi Alpha Chapter Members Enjoy Get-Togethers The second meeting of September for Pi Alpha chapter of Beta Sigma Phi was held at the home of Mrs. Ann Beyer.
