This theme is followed at esch unit meeting with religious and patriotic music. Religious music builds character and moral values of discipline. Music creates confidence by group and in dividual performances; it promotes health by providing wholesome activity both physically and mentally; K brings popularity, by provkhnf new social contacts; it provides a release from the strains and tensions of daily Ufa. Patriotic music reminds and inspires members to be of service at all times to our country and to all the veterans who have served our country in time of stress. The Department of Illinois will sponsor a Junior and senior music contest and awards will: be offered for song pnredtos written to the department presidents, department coi|mander and for mem-7 bership songs. Membership participation in these depart-" ment sponsored projects are urged by Mrs. Penny and Mrs. LaBuy. 1' Keepin' Healthy "V. • ' Tr i> '* '8 By Mary Richards Lead poisoning is sometimes referred to aa the "Silent > Menace" because thorn an no symptoms until the disease Is hi' the sdvanced stages.
