The ladies of St. Paul's Episcopal church will hold their seventh annual Holiday bazaar Nov. 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parish hall of St. Paul's church at Green and St. Paul's streets. October 19 Benefit Dance Tickets are now available for the Wednesday, Oct. 19, benefit dinner dance sponsored by the DuPage-McHenry Lung association. The dance will be held at the Branded Steak House, Highway 14, Crystal Lake. "The dinner dance will help raise funds for a summer camp to benefit asthmatic children," said Mrs. Bruno Beinoris of Wood Dale, president of the lung association. "These camps help a child with asthma adjust to his breathing problems, and learn to live and play normally with others, and be independent. "Funds from the dinner dance will also help us provide camp expenses for asthmatic children from needy families," said Mrs. Beinoris, who is the wife of a Wood Dale physician. Illinois Grain The United States may be getting a better break as far as the lowering of some trade barriers to the European common market goes, but it probably won't mean much to Illinois grain farmers, ac­ cording to State Agriculture Director John R. Block. Just back from a European market evaluation trip Block made the comments after conferring with U.S. Agriculture depart­ ment officials and other state agriculture department of­ ficials. 4400 W. RTE. 120 McHENRY 385-4100 Director Candidates To Be Presented By Council The annual meeting of the McHenry county Senior Citizen's council will be held at ll3p p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20 at*, the Moose Lodge, 2816 Rt. 120, McHenry. The Moose building is currently the site of the McHenry "Meet and Eat" center. Each year, at the annual meeting, three directors of the council are elected. On Oct. 20, Eugene Raetz, chairman of the nominating committee, will present the slate of candidates for these directorships. Voting is limited to members whose dues are paid to date. By the amendment to the constitution adopted at the July meeting, dues are now payable ac­ cording to the members "an­ niversary date" i.e., the date when each individual joined the council. Crime prevention office Robot Joosten will speak on "senior power" and how senior citizens can help to lower the incidence of crime in McHenry county.
