New Members Join Church Fourteen new members were received at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran church, 404 N. Green street, McHenry, Sun­ day. The new members were greeted at the door of the church by all of the families attending - the 10:30 a.m. worship service. Immediately after the sermon for the day, the new families were invited to come forward by Pastor Roger W. Schneider to be formally introduced to the congregation and to receive certificates of church membership. A new member reception in honor of the new members is being planned by Evangelism Co-chairpersons Miriam Kenna and Walter Johnson and will be held Nov. 13 at 7:30 p.m. in the Fireside room of the church. Claims for relief of taxes paid in years before 1977 must be submitted to the state by Dec. 31 of this year because of new legislation which establishes a one-year limitation on the Circuit Breaker filing period. The state's Circuit Breaker Law, enacted in 1972, makes tax relief available to Illinois citizens 65 or older or disabled persons who have annual household incomes of less than, $10,00% ~ ^>j|" Under x the Circuit Breaker program, administered by the Illinois Department of Revenue, cash grants for tax relief are provided to qualified citizens who apply with the state. Maximum annual property tax relief grants of up to $500 are available for the years 1972 through 1976.
