FILLED CHRISTMAS LOAF Dough 4 c. flour Vi c. sugar' 11. salt Combine and cut in 1 c. butter 2 pkgs. yeast 1 T. water 2 eggs 1 c. cold milk - 11. vanilla Combine yeast' with water well and add remaining ingredients. Beat well. Com­ bine liquid and dry ingredients together and mix well. Cover and chBl overnight. Filling, 3/4 c. butter l>/2 c. powdered sugar 11. vanilla Vfe c. chopped nuts Beat well and spread 2 T. filling on bottom, and sides of two loaf pans. Divide dough in half; roll each half into a 10x18" square. , Spread each half of dough with half of the remaining A filling and Vfe c. chopped nuts. Cut crosswise into three strips 6x10". Roll each strip lengthwise, twisting slightly. Braid three rolls together, tuck ends under and place in pan. Brush with melted butter. Let raise until double. Bake ai 350 degrees for 50 min. Frosting 1 c. powdered sugar 1 T. hot water 1 T. butter 1 T. corn syrup Blend all ingredients together.
