Fans who attended Im maculate Conception's 21-6 victory over Marian Central witnessed a sight that won't be seen again for a long while. What they saw was one player, I.C. fullback Mark Beck carry the ball 48 times, which enabled the Knights to control the tempo of the game and grind out the victory. "They were good. They are favored to win the conference and they had a real good pack." Despite Burmann's per formance, McHenry's varsity lost to champion Crystal Lake and Woodstock, placing third in the meet. At least it didn't rain. And the wind didn't blow. And it wasn't cold.
