"The label identifies tax payers so we can process returns rapidly and speed refunds to the correct ad dress," according to Gary V. Ey, manager of the revenue department's tax processing division. "Taxpayers should double- check the label to see that in formation on it is correct. A mistake on the address or a transposed digit in the Social Security number, for example, can add weeks to the time it takes to process the return," he said. Ey said a taxpayer could correct any mistakes by drawing a line through the incorrect information on the label and printing the correction directly on the label. Persons who did not receive a pre-addressed label, Ey said, should make sure that names, addresses, and Social Security numbers are printed correctly on the return to avoid refund delays. He said forms information, and assistance are available free of charge by calling the Department of Revenue at 641- 2150 in Cook county and 1-800- 252-8972, a toll-free number, elsewhere in the state. Kathy, a student at McHenry high school, received the Good Citizen award from the Kish- waukee Trail chapter of the Daughters of the _ American Revolution Happiness is taking a friend's advice and using vinegar and water to clean the humidifier this time - works great! Happiness is .bumping into Barb LaGreca, former Wonder Laker and now a Chicago resident Barb looks as great as ever and reports the LaGrecas really like living in the big city - but still keep up with the local news through the Plaindealer Happiness is .talking with a couple at the Forrester Danquet at the Johnsburg community club Feb 4. who have been dancing partners for nearly fifty years and are proud to say they have had the best life ever Leo and Martha Freund. Happiness is... wishing the best to Terence and Regina Moritz and their son, Karl, who are leaving Wonder Lake to make their home in the sunny climate of Phoenix, Ariz. Happiness is...finding out that there is still a demand for family films as we stood and waited in the icy cold as far back as Don's Submarine to see "Wilderness Family" at the McHenry theatre on a Sunday afternoon - (the kids loved it!) Happiness is...the fifth grade art students of Harrison school, under the direction of their teacher, Karen Six, celebrating the Mardi Gras Tuesday. Feb. 7, by wearing papier mache masks they had made in class as part of their costumes. They also had a parade for the lower grades and lots of refreshments. Happiness is... reading the March 1 issue of Family Circle. This magazine will be of special interest to Wonder Lake readers because of the ex cellent article on Tony Zidek and his mom, Janice. Tony is this year's National Easter Seal poster child. The story of the first five years of the life of this "pint size optimist" makes fascinating reading. Don't miss it!
