PAGE 18 - PLAINDEALER - FRIDAY. MARCH 10, 1978 Minor Mishaps Recorded In Area In Past Week A Burlington, Wis. woman was ticketed following a two- car accident on E. Wonder Lake road Tuesday, and then struck another car as she moved her auto to avoid blocking traffic following the first accident. Irene M. Millard told Sheriff's police that she was turning north onto E. Wonder Lake road, when her car was struck by another vehicle. The driver of the second car, Ruth C. Kinzie, 4215 E. Wonder Lake, Wonder Lake, stated that she was southbound on E. Wonder Lake road when the Millard auto entered her lane of traffic. Ms. Kinzie explained that she swerved but couldn't avoid a collision. Evidence at the scene in dicated to Sheriff's deputies that the accident occurred in the southbound lane and Ms. Millard was ticketed for im proper lane usage. Following the accident, Ms. Millard was directed by Deputy Bore of the Sheriff's depart ment to drive into a parking lot to turn around, so that her car would not be obstructing traffic. According to the police report, she turned around and when pulling back onto E. Wonder Lake road from Center street, she struck a passing car driven by Jeanette M. Brenner, 7720 Brook drive, Wonder Lake. None of the drivers involved were injured in the mishaps. A two-car accident on Route 120 Tuesday afternoon resulted in a Wonder Lake woman being ticketed by Sheriff's police. Mark W. Hesch, 1012 Cherry Valley road, McHenry, told police that he was eastbound on Route 120 and had started to Step up to a Whirlpool DISHWASHER WITH WRAP-AROUND SOUND INSULATION Deluxe undercounter Whirlpool dishwosher •4 automatic cycles (Super Scour; Super Wash; Rinse-Hold, Short) •High-side racks •Pushbutton cycle selection •Porcelain enameled tub with DURAPERM Door liner *319" SM-7M1 LEE & RAY ELECTRIC 1005 N. Wonder Lake road, Wonder Lake, told police that she was going to turn left into a driveway and had her turn signal operating. Ms. Hey was ticketed for improper or inadequate turn signals on her vehicle. Laura P. Kuhns, 2502 Ringwood road, McHenry, was taken to McHenry hospital by the .McHenry Rescue squad following an accident Friday afternoon at Third and Main streets. Ms. Kuhns told city police that she was southbound on Third street and had stopped at the stop sign at Main street. Because a car was turning left from Main street onto Third street, she said that she pulled forward and to the right to avoid the turning car. An approaching car traveling eastbound on Main street, driven by Curtis A. Freund, 1412 Park street, McHenry, struck the Kuhns auto. Freund stated that he slammed on his brakes but could not avoid the collison. Ms. Kuhns was ticketed for failing to yield at a stop in tersection. Saturday afternoon another accident occurred at the Waukegan and Front street intersection involving three McHenry drivers. Lavonne L. Beyer, 5005 W. Home avenue, told police that she was westbound on Waukegan road behind another car. When the other driver, Donald E. Johnson, 5014 Willow lane, started to stop for the intersection, Ms. Beyer applied her brakes but struck the back of the Johnson auto. The impact of the collision caused the Johnson auto to move forward, striking the rear of a car driven by Donald R. Pfau, which was stopped at the intersection. None of the drivers involved was injured, and Ms. Beyer was ticketed for following too closely.
