Trout park in Elgin is a small area of rare glacial terrain and vegetation and the site for McHenry county Audubon's first hike in 1978. Audubon member and naturalist, Bill Wingate, Crystal Lake, will guide the group Saturday, March 25. Wingate will explain the unusual floor-plan of Trout park also known as the Elgin Botanical garden, where water flows from springy hillsides and nourishes the unusual plants and wildlife. Remnants of a long past period when glaciers moved down from the north covering large parts of Illinois are to be found in the surface where depressions were formed. One large depression is called "the amphitheatre". It is regarded as one of the state's most unique and natural sites and sanctuary and refuge for the disappearing wildlife and vegetation; a living museum of what Illinois was like five or ten thousand years ago. The McHenry County Audubon society invites in terested persons to join them on this guided tour. Call 455-1570 or 338-5207 for additional in formation. Goodwill Visits City For Pick-up March 24 The purpose of Goodwill Industries is to give people a chance to help themselves, but to accomplish this, the agency needs the support of the public in the form of clothing and housewares, according to Mrs. Nick (Agnes) Adams, local representative. The Goodwill truck will be in McHenry Friday, March 24. For pick-up service or in formation call Mrs. Adams. "Goodwill helps people to adjust and accept their han dicaps, to recognize and use their abilities instead of with drawing because of their disabilities." "Goodwill uses modern prevocational testing to determine their individual abilities and aids the han dicapped to develop vocational goals. Work adjustment programming, under the capable guidance of super visors and counselors, helps them to acquire skills and good work habits. Goodwill's transitional employment and placement support prepares them for entry into competitive employment," Mrs. Adams reported. • DOES YOUR HOME QUALIFY? Vinyl Siding Siding made from B.F.
