SPECIAL CELEBRATIONS Buffy Catanzaro was the hostess at her first formal birthd*" party March 11, as friends surrounded her to sing the traditional birthday song and watch as she blew out all eight candles on her strawberry-filled cake. The girls and boys also enjoyed party games which included a very appropriate pin the cot­ tontail on the bunny. Guests attending from Holiday Hills were Heather Beltz, Paulette Canaday, Jill and Kris Hoglund, Debbie and Lori Holtz and Eddie and Philip Wegener. A pre-birthday slumber party - was given by Kathy Carroll for a few of her close friends. The evening started with pizza at one of our local establish­ ments and then home where the girls enjoyed late night games and happy chatter as only 8 and 9-year-olds can. The girls in­ cluded Jill and Kris Hoglund, Carri Jarmanski, and Audra Micheals. Forty-one candles on a cake can make more than a lovely light • it can be downright dangerous, so one was the symbolic number for Ron Wegener as he was surrounded by friends and. family to celebrate the historic event. Joining hands and voices in song were wife, Dee, and the kids, Kelly, John, Eddie, Philip and Christopher, as well as Ron's mom and stepdad.
