The weather was perfect and the family came back sporting beautiful tans. Doris admits she worked at it. Nice work if you can get it! The Rupps own a home in Bradenton and during their stay down there, son Rick and his wife flew down to spend some time enjoying fun in the sun with their folks. KENTUCKY VISITORS Last week Mabel and Bill Zawislak of 1413 Bayview had a surprise visit from nephews Mike and Bruce Pence from Kentucky. The fellows spent a few days visiting and seeing the sights around Sunnyside and McHenry. Their brother Ed has been staying with the Zawislaks for a while. All three are excellent guitar palyers and gospel singers. They've kept things lively during their stay with their country and gospel music. VILLAGE MEETING Tuesday, April 4, was the regular monthly meeting of the village of Sunnyside. During the business meeting a com­ plaint was brought to the at­ tention of the board that raw sewage is being pumped into the channel between Bayview lane and Sunnyside drive. For the benefit of the complainants and those who live on the channel, the board of health has been contaced, has been out, and surveyed the channel. They assure me that they will check everything and get the matter taken care of. Another matter brought up was traffic control on Wilmot road, since our squad car is temporarily out of service. The sheriff's department is patroling the area- at regular intervals with a car in the area at all times. Bids are now being taken for the purchase of a new squad car and replacing the squad car is being expedited to get our police department back on the road. But feel secure in knowing the sheriff's depart­ ment is out there doing the job and also that the schools are patroled at regular intervals. BIRTHDAYS This week's birthday greetings go to Zelda Malochleb who has her special day April 11. April 11 is also the special day for Anna Gunko. Elizabeth Metzgar does her celebrating April 12. Ken Gaylord has his day April 13 and Rudy Gamoerrs special day is April 16. Best wishes to you all for a happy day and many more to come.
